Which is a shame, since PvP is the cheapest content to make with the most reusability. It lets the players entertain themselves.

I think the game is already losing subs due to the lack of PvP and the extremely narrow end-game.
PvP is far from a big reason that lack of subs would occur in a game. If people pick up a strictly PvE game, for PvP, then get disappointed at a lack of PvP... I think it's understandable to just call them "stupid". That's like going into a store that only sells blue colored things, and complaining that they don't sell goods in red color. People don't sub for many reasons, often a combination of them. Most common is financial, work, or the game itself. Mind you, that last one isn't necessarily exclusive to content reasons, as this game could just be too slow-paced for them (nothing to do with content).

Not saying lack of PvP doesn't have a hand in it, as you indicated with the narrow endgame mention, but it's far from significant. Even when PvP is introduced, I have a feeling that it's not gonna be what people think it is. At first (basically for a long while), it'll be 4v4 Arena/Team style PvP (for now). It's not gonna be a large scale (soloable) battleground, it'll be organized team play, just like your typical DF group. So... unless you do a pre-made, you're gonna be partnered with those people you find in random DF! Have fun! Thankfully, the system is supposed to match random vs random, and pre-made vs pre-made... I think. So I guess as dysfunctional as your random group might be, your opponents will likely be in the same boat.
