the reason i'm interested in SAO and hack is its virtual reality. if it's just another monitor staring game, then it's useless

Half Prince is a great example! Legend of the Moonlight Sculptor is another beautiful series. Probably my favourite mmorpg worldI actually like the Idea.
I wish there was an mmorpg mixed of .hack/SAO/Yureka/Half Prince/Log Horizon ._.
I also like the "old school" game Ragnarok Online, that had nice stuff, that is never rly seen again cuz everything copies from WoW
Just wanted to say ~ i dont blame SE or so tho x:
PS: in RO there were no instanced dungeons how you know it, first ever instaced stuff i saw was in aion, so it was really weird for me that time.
I would like to see some mmo using a different formula, to fresh up the genre... But there are no games which have done that yet, and you knew what FFXIV was going to be like....
Stop using "we", cause most people who are playing this, enjoy it very much so far.
SAO is a good anime, but if you put that into a game, it would be almost like every other mmo... -_- They are just farming mobs and killing bosses as a group....
I love PvP. I really do. I love the unpredictability of a human enemy.
What i do not love is trying to do a quest, and then suddenly a dozen max level douchebags come running into my low level zone, and one shot me, and other low level players, then camp my corpse so i can't play.
Yep, totally fun to get pushed out of my leveling zone by people who have no business being there.
The problem is easily solved by having pve safe zones (the realms) and a big pvp area (the frontier).I love PvP. I really do. I love the unpredictability of a human enemy.

There is a pve element in the frontier too, but if you enjoy "relaxed" pve and questing, just stay inside your realm.
There was no griefing in daoc unless you called for it (went on the frontier as a lowbie and expected chivalry) but it was your choice.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to make an MMO out of it. It has some very interesting concepts. Especially the way Tanks(Naotsugu) can actually force players to attack them, And a class like the Enchanter whose sole purpose is support others.
SAO and Log Horizon are my favorite MMO style anime so far. Cant wait for Arcs 3 and 4 for SAO :3
Zones like that have never been much fun in my experience. Zerg PvP in general is boring as sin. My most memorable PvP experiences through the years have been the ones where I was alone, and jumped by a lone player, which resulted in a long duel lasting 10+ minutes.
Zerg fight is only boring and mindless when you are not part of an organised group or a good guild. You probably never experienced any real "pvp raid", being part of a whole group with tactics and field movements, taking advantage from the ennemy's weakness... researching group /party best synergy to make the most of buffing/condition cleaning/healing/CC/dmg dealing potentials. This is how real pvp works.
Oh god thx i wanted to say that but my english isnt up to the task >.<Zerg fight is only boring and mindless when you are not part of an organised group or a good guild.
