    Although the 0.3s number is constantly referenced, the lag is considerably more than just 0.3s. An easy way to see how bad this game lags is just start autorunning and try to cast a spell and see how long before your client realizes you're not supposed to be able to do this. You can even have your client claim you finish a 1s casting spell (say, mount chocobo) while running continously. In an ability lke WotL, the lag double dips, as you're getting a delayed notification that the ability is being cast (very easy to see this if you have a running start), and of course when you're attempting to dodge it, you're also subject to the same lag again.

    I'm using the same server yet everyone got pushed but me til later. I've always said the problem is with the communication between the server and client. That's where most of the problems exist.

    Titan is a huge example of the poor communication with server and client. I shouldn't have to Force Update my position. I know when I'm playing bad and I'll admit it. But for me I play from China and sometimes I've moved long before the ability goes off and I still get hit by it.

    I've beaten Titan but that day the stars aligned and I had minimal personal lag and I was able to avoid most stuff til near the end of phase 5. Since that day though I continue to have the same delay issues I've had since playing the game.

    Movement should be an instant to stop your casting but in FFXIV is takes several milliseconds for it to update and stop your casting. Looking at WoW its instant the second you move the spell stops casting. That's how it should be.

    i want my movement as legacy but camera as standard for this fight... i hate auto camera move around when dodge bomb or weight

    err... WoW doesn't have this problem?

    client-to-server needs to be handled differently. If i dodge something in WoW on my screen, it becomes dodged in-game. this is not the case for FFXIV.

    Just to re-iterate, I rarely get hit by Titan. I've beaten him tons of times without issue. If you react quickly enough the server delay (which amounts to much more than 300ms) is not enough to kill you alone. But when in most MMOs produced in the last 10 years will allow for you to move out of something at the last possible moment and not get hit by it, it would be nice if they could too. I mean, when I'm walking down main street dodging falling pianos, I've never once died because I got out with only 200ms to spare, I'd just like the responsiveness I'm used to. I can play around it, I can succeed in this environment, I just wish it felt better is all

    Yeah, I've seen this before, and it happens in plenty of other places too. What people don't realize is that the whole "300ms position update" is one issue, and the time it takes the server to actually process commands and send you responses is something independent of that. It might do the repel for your two party members, then be busy working on logic for 20 other instances, and finally get back to processing your repel push-back.

    Its not just titan, lately ive been seeing people hit by demon wall knockback a full 15 seconds after it went off, on almost every run.

    Ya I had this happen to me quite a few times tbh. Also there are times with titan that he magically teleports to the middle and jumps up and my other FC mates see it too on the same fight that this is happening. If you think that its not the servers fault at times then I don't think you've actually done the fight and probably spouting nonsense.

    I can dodge titan's abilities 95% of the time, the 5% of the time I do get hit is because of server side latency, not because I wasn't quick enough.
