I am sadden that on my server when i sometimes decide to look for groups i just say BLM lfg. thats all. I hate that I actually have to parade my wep n gear to get pms from peeps to join groups. I dont care how long a run goes, or how geared people in it are. I just go for the sake of going and even helping but sheesh I hate that i have to shout how big my relic is and how fancy my clothes are.

When I was a newbie I didn't think twice when someone asked for a relic or specifically geared/experienced party. It didn't discourage me or make me not want to play. I understood that they had their own reasons to ask for what they were doing. Whether it was for a speed run, or just for epeen, it didn't really concern me. It was their party and they could do whatever they wanted to do. I know I don't speak for all people that were new, but that's my point of view. I knew I could always shout for my own party or do DF.

The issue here is that instead of clarifying, or just leaving the other group alone, Livilda chose to mock and abuse them publicly ("troll"). Seriously, that is just reprehensible behavior. The "casual" crowd is often more abusive than the "hardcore" crowd, with a sprinkling of undeserved entitlement.

If I want to run WP in 8 minutes, I'm going to look for other people who want to do the same. If I want people who think have a handle on Titan's skillset and have the confidence to say "Fuck yeah, I avoid more than 95% of his attacks" for a quick, no fuss run, then I'll say that. If I'm not looking for that, I won't demean and belittle the people who are to make myself feel better or smarter than them. If you open up that chat prompt to "prove" yourself, do us all a favor and just close it.

Skill ≠ stats

Dodge rate is a stat. The last thing we want is for new lvl 50's thinking they need to find a way to hit 95% dodge rating like it's WoW.

And yes, if you have a party that can quantify dodge rate of 95%, whether it is skill or stat, no one would be stuck on Titan. Being a 50 DRG and GLD I am going to assume you have been to Titan on at least one of those jobs and would know that if everyone could dodge 95% of his attacks, it would be cake walk. It's not a strict DPS race except for the heart and even then a lvl 2 limit break solves that issue. Losing DPS and healers due to dodge failures is what kills people on Titan. That or incorrect timing on tank heals during Mountain Buster. But with a 95% dodge rate stat wise, it wouldn't be an issue.

Well there is now 7 pages of proof that there are some very vile people in this game and also appears to be some serious reading comprehension problems.

If I shout for people I usually make fun of the Full DL +1 people... Ask for tank/heals/dps and we are slow running it. More often than not I get really nice people who are good at their jobs in full DL with +1 relic.

Not that much, actually. It's just that the perceived definition of 'trolling' seems to have changed while I wasn't looking from 'harmless baiting' to 'malicious attacks'.
