The amount starts at a set price and goes DOWN every 6 hours. It does not go UP. There is not a limited amount of space as they are in instances. You missed the part about purchasing the plots. Auctions, highest bidders, people with cash or rmt will run the prices up and people with lots of gill will control the prices of the lots pretty much and i think there was something in there about RMT's buying plots to wash dirty gill or something.
We dont know if there is maint yet. I have learned so far that just because its a certain way in other games it doesnt mean it will be the same here even if it benefits the game itself.
Also there are no maint costs on the houses. All of this was covered in the LIVE letter recently.
Douleur Peur Mort
Wasn't there something that said at first you could only own one plot of land? If that it true then it will take quite a lot of RMT involvement to effect land prices.

Exactly. I really just think some of these people are trying to rustle some jimmies by creating RMT doomsday scenarios, lol. They will just stick to trying to sell you gil and shards.
The funny thing is, if they did indeed buy all the lots, they would be dumping all their gil in hopes of people buying those lots from them, if that is even allowed. Not to mention, lots will be added accordingly to demand I believe since they are instancing the FC housing. Just make a bazillion lots and force the RMT to dump all their gil.![]()
If the OP only had a hand-full of errors and people were just trolling, I would agree with you. However, if someone is completely incapable of communicating their ideas in a coherent manner, the other users are justified. It's not enough for one to simply have ideas; if the individual in question is not able to communicate those ideas, the ideas are useless.

The auction is not about bidding, it is a waiting game. Wait and it get cheaper, but wait too long and someone else buy it. It start with the max price and get cheaper every 6 hours. You missed the part about purchasing the plots. Auctions, highest bidders, people with cash or rmt will run the prices up and people with lots of gill will control the prices of the lots pretty much and i think there was something in there about RMT's buying plots to wash dirty gill or something.
A: It will not be different. The price of the buildings will be a fixed amount, but the land will be sold in an auction-like system and start at the highest price. As time passes, the land that has not been sold yet will decrease in price. With that said, players on newly added Worlds that do not have that much gil in circulation can wait for these prices to come down. The price will be reduced every six hours.1:38:23
Q: As there are differences in economies from World to World, will the housing costs differ by World?

There is no incentive for rmt to buy houses. none.
There has been nothing that has said that you can resell the land.
Once an instance server is filled, another one is created, meaning it's impossible to buy up all the land.
The "ah" system is buying FROM THE GAME, not from other players.
People need to stop flipping out over misinformation on something that isn't even in the game yet.
