    So if Twisters were nerfed sooner, you would have killed Twintania sooner? I will agree on that.

    Additionally, I believe Blue Garter was the first to clear Twintania with a girl in their group - pre nerf might I add.

    I think they're just stating that the majority of the difficulty in the encounter comes from how harsh twisters were. It's a pretty fair assessment to be honest. However, I also think that the current version of Twintania is a pretty good step up in difficulty when compared to turn 4. So while I think (know) it would have fallen pretty quickly to the best of guilds, I imagine that any group that hasn't been working on the fight (or new groups coming straight from turn 4) will find it to be pretty challenging.

    So for progression purpose through a 4 boss instance, it's not too bad. Being the end boss of the game launch (in its current form), is a little underwhelming I suppose. Hopefully they just take this all as a learning experience and deliver with 2.2. We'll see.

    Thats twisters shape.

    #1 White area = about 2 yalms.

    #2 Black Area = Death

    #3 The position updates, until ~80% of the cast

    #4 running in a circular shape is to counter-act server latency, so you are always running into the ~2 yalm safezone pending wherever the server updates twister last. Again the theres multiple movement methods to stay within 2 yalms. The reason sometimes a straight line worked, and sometime it didn't, is due to the .3 second positional server update and pure luck on when the last twister update occurred in the cast.

    This update changed the safe zone to about 6-7 yalms, and changed it so that the last position update is static (near the very end of the cast).

    I move at 95% of the cast today, and lived. That would have been 100% guaranteed death pre-nerf.

    Again, largely speculation (Though perhaps good speculation, or close to what the mechanic is), and it still doesn't really account for the very odd behavior we saw from some techniques. Not to mention there is still not a single person on the planet capable of claiming a 100% consistent success rate versus twister despite weeks of practice.

It's called human error and most every gamer in the world has it and makes mistakes because of it - the difference is we make less mistakes.

    Again I would love to compare material notes if you have the time for it (although I hear re-installing WoW takes a few hours so maybe you don't)

    Old mechanic aside, I'm not sure how much experimentation you put in on a kill this week (as I assumed you just used what worked for you before, to great success), but I disagree with your perception on the new mechanic. You can ask Teloc about our experience with it tonight - I was eager to step in and just get a kill and asked that we do it the perceived correct way, and in pure challenge of that two of our members tonight would only run in a straight line at the beginning of the cast and were fine 100% of the time (we pulled 3-4 times tonight, maybe ~15-20ish Twisters total?) 0 deaths to Twister at all. If there is a safe zone CURRENTLY as described, it's next to impossible to breach it post-nerf even when just trying to. Maybe if you sprint?
