What I don't get is how are you going to vote for a MVP when you make a pre-made group and everyone does their jobs.

It's an incredibly stupid idea and it's shocking SE thinks this will fix all the bad's in the game. inb4 something like "give me mvp or i afk"

Oh right, lol. I actually remember reading that now. The level of fail must be so high I passively forgot it. It's very encouraging to know that those of us who make our own parties will be blocked out of getting content in the game only obtainable via MVP. Quality system.

The problem is the rudeness in DF random parties experienced through the matching system and that is what the devs are trying to discourage by motivating good behavior through rewards systems and a number of other party preference settings that they are adding for aiding communication. Also they said previously that they cannot allow self voting in premade parties because...it would allow players to abuse the system and just vote for themselves.

lol, really? if we could vote for ourselves, nobody would ever be MVP, because it would almost always result in a 4 way tie.

Most people barely make the effort to say "hi" let alone taking to time to think to themselves and select a player they believe was MVP. Sounds like a system that is doomed from the start.
