That idea i like! then again, with PB u can get 3GL in like 4-6secs on a boss, so it might be a lil difficult to justify it giving us GL3 straight up. but yea, i'd give my vote on that idea.I need to think more about Howling fist, but about Perfect balanse... you are right. Lets remember the game----------- In dungeons we run from one mob-pack to another and so on till the boss. If PerBal cd will be 60sec- it is to long to use it on every mob-pack, so PerBal is still the same if cd is 180sec. So, the change of PerBAl must be another... Maybe it would be better, if CD of PerBal still will be 180sec, but if used it will give 3 stack of GS? So the whole picture of using PerBal will be: monk uses PerBal only on bosses, but using will immediately give 3 stacks of GS. Good begining of boss_battle
maybe a passive like
"Your touch of death/demolish ticks have a 10-15% chance to add a stack of greased lightning"
Lets see- now all players use PerBal only for quickly gaining GS stack: SnapPunch 2 times, DEmolish 1 time and, if you have time, to use TwSn. And then monk begin to start standart rotation. But if PerBal will give 3 stacks of GS immediately, monk can not waste time for gainig it- but use buff-time another way: to use DragKick, to use TwSn, to use anything else and before PerBal-buff is gona to fade to use SnapPunch once more to refresh GS stack
DRGs distinguish themselves from having high phy DEF and low mag DEF.
BLMs and SMNs have low phy DEF and high mag DEF.
BRDs and MNKs have mid phy DEF and mid mag DEF.
Its balanced. Except for the fact that mag DEF is way more useful than phy DEF for DDs, which is somewhat evened out by differences in HP. If anything the only imbalance in terms of defense is MNK having more HP than BRDs (which i dont disagree with).
Why don't you just put "Make the class easier overall." That's pretty much what you're asking to be done.
change Aotd to act like SMN's Bane skill where it spreads our ToD and Demolish, would give us a bit better AoE.
I constantly see videos of other DPS classes starting out with decent damage. Meanwhile, Monks need to work up to having a decent amount of damage and end up losing the damage when the boss disappears or it takes too long to go to another group of mobs. I've tested the damage in real fights against other monks and other classes to find out that Monks tend to be right in the middle when it comes to their DPS output in real fights. Greased lightning duration could remain untouched but the damage and/or speed increase could be increased to help out this job.
I agree that one-ilm punch is useless and could only imagine how much more wanted a Monk would be for a party if it actually did debuff a boss.
Perfect Balance needs to be fixed to where if you do say a dragon kick, and then twin snake and the timer runs out you don't need to restart at a twin snake but instead you're already in the proper form to do a snap punch or demolish.
I think that Fists of Wind should make you slightly faster than it currently does to make it compete better with Fists of Fire. Also, Fists of Earth would compete better with the other two if it was 25% instead of 10%. That's not overpowered at that number and makes it a considerable ability for some fights.
I think all it needs is a slight increase in GL duration, making them decay one at a time would make Perfect Balance far less useful. MNK damage is already really good if played well.
Monk should be low Physical def and huge pool of HP, like warriors WITH his buff up.If anything the only imbalance in terms of defense is MNK having more HP than BRDs (which i dont disagree with).
