Again.. wrong. FFXI released in Japan 1 year prior to NA release which coincided with thr first expansion (Rise of the Zilart). It was with that expansion that the level cap was raised to 75.When some people say they are quitting, they really aren't. Just some people feel the need to threaten SE to change something instead of using their wallets to prove their point.
To the OP: FFXI Launch was capped at 50, and didn't have much in terms of endgame content. The time frame you played at was about 2 years into launch ( 75 cap). FFXIV ARR just came out, give it some time to grow into a great MMO. Within 2 years, I'm sure FFXIV ARR will be a great game.
At the time of zilart's release the cap was 70. It wasn't raised to 75 until a little while after the game came out in the US. Dynamis came out a little while after that, but up to that point there wasn't much in the way of endgame content beyond BCNMs.
Don't be obtuse.you have the full game you've done coil you're just complaining you can get full af2 gear in a day get over it. just like every other thread says there isn't enough to do then complains how they can't have full best gear in a day. please stop acting like you actually want to better then game when all you want is to show off full gear before other players.
i forgot turn 5 was easy so how many times you beat it now? once a week right?
Turn 5 is strictly a ilv90 gear check. BG beat it by the teeth, and they were sporting an average of 4.2k HP per toon. That's well mostly ilv90 gear.
Most people won't be at that level of gear for well over a month, so there's no point in trying Turn 5 before you are that geared.
And guess what? The myth caps are in the way of that.

Yeah..this is true.
