Correct... however, most are not as quick or easy to beat as ffxiv. So basically super casuals are left entertained, and happy they can clear content. And more serious players are left utterly bored with the lack of challenging content.

you have the full game you've done coil you're just complaining you can get full af2 gear in a day get over it. just like every other thread says there isn't enough to do then complains how they can't have full best gear in a day. please stop acting like you actually want to better then game when all you want is to show off full gear before other players.
i forgot turn 5 was easy so how many times you beat it now? once a week right?

Is this all you talk about? We get it, you're upset that you can't max out on gear...but sheesh, give it a rest.2.1 won't fix anything unless they remove coils lock out timer, make crystal tower have no lock out timer(loot lock out for CT and coil instead), make sure PVP gear has no weekly cap BS like myth tomes, and make myth tomes cap per JOB and not per CHARACTER.
I'm paying $13-15/month, let me play the game as much as >>I<< want to not as much as >>YOU<< think I should, Square Enix. I don't even need to be rewarded, I don't need loot, I just want to play the game.
edit:
To anyone who disagrees with myth tome to be job based:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ory-job-system.
You are aware you can make a new character for every job you want to level to avoid this artificial "barrier", thus having 300 tome caps per job, correct? Which is horrible, because it makes you COMPLETELY ignore the armory system at the level cap as a battle job(outside of 26/34 cross-class skills), which is a feature the game was advertised about.
Alcohol usually does, yes.

they will introduce more content and balance some abilities. for players looking to enjoy the game, they will be big changes. however, for players constantly trying to prove that this game is releasing content slower than they can complete it, it will never be satisfactory.
luckily i am the former of your two types of people lol.. i just want to enjoy it and i am not atmthey will introduce more content and balance some abilities. for players looking to enjoy the game, they will be big changes. however, for players constantly trying to prove that this game is releasing content slower than they can complete it, it will never be satisfactory.
I think SE need to get a hell of a lot right with this 2.1 update. Sure there is a large player base at the moment, but I can see many people are right now at a crossroads as to whether they will continue to play if 2.1 doesn't have the goodies that everyone is hoping for.
I'm cautiously optimistic that they are hard at work and will do all that is neccessary to keep people interested.
Consider that 6 years ago, XI had already had 4+ years of development post-launch, so they had plenty of content. I played XI during the first couple years it came out and it was similar to XIV's current content volume. Level 50 cap, not much to do post-story.The game.. just, seemed to get really boring.. I am going back 6 years here but I remember getting to 75 as BLM on FFXI and still being incredibly excited about the game.. there just seems to be nothing here for me now.. I know other people feel it too..
And I know the game just released I can appreciate that.. but.. will 2.1 inject fun back into the game? or will we have to wait for an expansion how ever far away that is?
Aside from the dev time, XI's grind was also considerably slower than XIV's so people were much less apt to be level capped within a couple of weeks and running out of fresh content.
