    To be fair SE tried to downplay 1.17b as much as possible. It wasn't even properly announced, and we only knew about it coming because of the maintenance notice. On the other hand they have actually been talking up 1.18 for the past couple months now. We should temper our expectations to what SE is saying, and with 1.18 they seem to be saying a lot.

    Only reason why we didn't get ANY content at all for Months on end was because of the New Dev team switch. And this New Dev Team has been doing th following that leads up to this "3 Month Blast of Content" Starting with 1.18.

    -Planning on what content they want to put onto the game (Majorly) (and Most of the time)
    -Test Test Test Test and more Testing ( to make sure they got everything is prepared for the upcoming Patch 1.18 and so forth
    - Battle system Planning/Overhaul ( in which will change the complexity of the game)
    - Now beginning to see the Implementations (The Fruits) of Yoshi-P's Team about to come into Fruition!

    So, In conclusion Stop Crying over a Mediocre Patch because this patch wasn't even suppose to exist (Take this as a bonus). Because the Hard work and labor will being to show in 1.18 Patch! and so forth!

    I don't think we're getting dungeons with 1.18 because aren't they directly correlated to companies which are directly correlated to company leaders which are under "future planned" on the list Yoshi put up? I think 1.18 only promises with any certainty the initial adjustments to the battle system, so we'll definitely see auto attack then and then tweaks leading towards dungeons.

    Things that are confirmed for 1.18.

    -Auto-attack
    -first changes to the battle system
    -death warp=0 anima
    -implementation of Grand Companies
    -Dungeons
    -Fatigue is gone

    All of that has been confirmed and if we don't get it, I expect a shit storm to be thrown at SE, and they would deserve it.

    1.18 is going to be relatively bigger than previous patches. This means that balancing is going to take more time than usual, and so we’re anticipating a somewhat longer period between patches. Even if we break off some of the content and release it ahead of time in a 1.17b patch (which me might!), 1.18 will still go live sometime in mid-June at the earliest. Sorry for that.

    But good things come to those who wait! Dungeons designed for ranks 30 and 50 are on their way, and 1.18 will see the start of our reworking of the battle system, as we bring in some changes to that area.

    Also, we’re planning to introduce various new encampments that will serve as quest hubs. We’re in the process of testing these now on our development servers, and I strong-armed one of the designers in charge into handing over some screenshots for me to post here.

    Well from the producer's letter X it says that the list outlines what is promised to be finished by the end of the summer and the implementation of a Rank 50 and a Rank 30 dungeon is on there and due sometimes before the end of the summer. Where did they say that 1.18 will have dungeons? we don't even get the specifics of a patch until patch day. Just curious, I may be wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up - I'm sure we're getting auto attack with 99% certainty but everything else is up for debate.

    Yea, maybe true, still worded weird like everything else SE writes up. I guess we'll see mid June, and I want dungeons as much as the next person but Yoshi did say that they want the battle system changes to take place before dungeons, patch 1.18 will hardly bring about those changes but will just begin to incorporate them and then work at balancing and tweaking them and adding to them imo but I hope I'm wrong and dungeons are in full swing mid June.

    Honestly i believe they are going to get dungeons and auto-attack done, i could careless for those 2... the fatigue crap needs to get tossed out of here... FFXI while training i always stated man does it take forever to level.. lets just put it this way i'd rather have it the way FFXI was and take forever then a lock out period.. this fatigue system is dumb... once they get rid of the fatigue i garuntee A LOT more players would join back to FFXIV.

    You pay for your game, and eventually will be paying for Monthly Subscriptions... just for them to limit on how far you can get to without being locked... I think its dumb..

    But lets hope what all they said comes into play on the 1.18 patch
