Only if you rush. No matter how you want to see it, there's no way to get a fully DL geared 50 in a week without rushing.
EDIT: Actually, there is. You're either rushing or playing 12 hours a day.

Which can be done within a matter of 48 hours...not really getting the argument being made here. Plenty of guilds on our server all took days off to play and get to 50 and compete to get into coil and clear it the fastest. We are playing the game wrong and are fat slobs? Is that what is trying to be pointed out lol? Most hardcore gamers now a days have full time jobs and school and families, making personal assumptions about people you will never know or meet is just showing your immaturity. No matter how fast anyone gets to max level or gear has nothing to do with the fact the game has no content and can be cleared in less than an hour.
Honest question then:Which can be done within a matter of 48 hours...not really getting the argument being made here. If you're the kind of person who can beat all the content currently available in a week, how much do you think any new content will last you? I mean, we have to assume that a game with 4 times the content this one currently has would only last you a month.
How is it invalid when the post I quoted said:
"Fun fact, it was. Also WoW lasted a lot longer leveling wise and gearing up to even get into MC. Where as FFXIV you could level and gear up in a week and walk into Coil. "
Well, of course you can level and gear up in a week. It all depends how many hours a week we're talking about.
Ultimately the discussion is useless, because if you play 12 hours a week and finish the game and I play 3 hours a day and I still have things to do after a month and a half, then both of us are doing things 'right'. It's just that only those who already ran out of things to do (or still have them but just don't want to) seem to be complaining about it all the time.
