I just think it would be a great gesture of SE. I have hardly any reason to play XIV (and obviously, much less XI) but it would still be fun to mess around over there.

I picked up the game for a few months and dropped it ~6 months ago. You won’t find anyone using the LFG group anymore. Even if you had 5 friends to run a static with, leveling the old way might still be impossible. The AH doesn’t have much low level gear anymore, so you would have to find some crafters willing to help out and gear your entire party. I found that people aren’t as willing to donate their time as they used to be. Nothing is free and inflation is high. I was able to get a few old school parties going for the sake of nostalgia… they got boring fast really fast. It’s hard to value the xp you’re getting when you know you could be leveling up so much faster.
