My 750w psi died by playing this game. Make sure you got a good psu. One of my friend psu is also died. This game drain a lots power.

Actually I asked for max settings at 60fps and another budget comparison to see how worth it is to save and go all out. I also asked for builds but I should clarify that I mean from the ground up, not prebuilt or barebones. Keys setup is good, would kill the game curious to see his benchmark score on max with it but you can close to his build for about 200 cheaper, I just want to see what others come up withIt's a cheap solution to get 60 fps out of this game on high settings which is exactly what he asked for. It may not be ideal but as you can see by KyteStones post even a budget machine is going to be almost a grand. Also this build is tested as my son is using this exact setup and he loves it. Constant 60-80 fps while he's playing his FFXIV and GW2.
You can build a comparable machine to that for about $150 cheaper. Find the cheapest mATX board you can buy and some junker $20 case, get an FX-6300, CX430, 8GB of whatever RAM, and drop a 7870 in there. Fill out with cheap 500GB HDD. Tada, better for cheaper. It's a cheap solution to get 60 fps out of this game on high settings which is exactly what he asked for. //EDIT: Note that I'm not particularly advising going with a junk board or anything, just making something more comparable, for what it's worth.

I built my current PC w/ windows 8 OEM copy for right round $900
Break down of whats in it.
AMD A10 6800k 4.1ghz
16GB DDR3 Don't remember clock speed. It's in the middle of the road.
256gb Samsung SSD
1TB Samsung HDD
Azrock ITX motherboard
Bit Phoenix Case.
120mm Cooler Master Sealed water cooler.
Did not buy any Peripherals and reused my 750w PS and XFX 5770 for old computer.
Running the game full screen 1080 getting 50 fps with graphic scaled back from max slightly.
just things I don't really care about lick PC & NPC shadows and I think I have Grass turned off most the time.
I have no doubt I could run maxed all the time with a better graphics card.
The best budget CPU you can get currently would be a "Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150" for roughly $340
The best budget GPU you can get currently would be a "GeForce GTX 660" for roughly $200
That puts you at roughly at $540/800 of your budget... You may want to think about upping that budget to around $900ish to comfortably get everything else required.
My calculations come to $1100 before tax, and thats without a after market cooler. so ya...spot on.
I'd advide another $30 for a Coolermaster 212+, or go all the way and get a Noctua D14.
Overclock that sucker.
Z87 mobo, I5, 7970( best bang for buck down to $300 these days), psu, case, Windows (oem)
False on a few points. Don't get a I7 for gaming. That's just dumb. The best budget CPU you can get currently would be a "Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150" for roughly $340

Get a 4670k
And a 660 was NEVER best budget gpu. 7870/7870 Tahiti wipes the floor with the non ti and meets a 660 ti.
And you can get a 7870 ( tahiti core) for $200..why would you get a non ti 660 for $200.( discontinued btw)
AMD's offering are much better bang for buck ( as usual). You can get a 7970 for $300...or a gtx 770 for over $400.
Or a 7950 for $240 when a gtx760 is $280. Again, better bang for buck, and don't bother with the AMD driver hyperbole, drivers have been fine for quiet some time.
Seriously though... you shouldn't tell someone that wants to build a pc primarily for gaming to get a I7. hyper threading does squat for gaming. I'll leave it to you to Google benchmarks that confirm this.
It's not so much "Alienware" those that know better advise against so much as buying prebuilt /big box at all.I was recently in the same situation as you! I was buying a computer for this game and was completely lost.
I bought an x51 from Alienware (despite people's negative reviews around here on Alienware.) It's GREAT. It handles this game easily, 40-60 FPS even in the most congested areas.
For 999.99 I got an i7 4770k, GTI660, and 8 GB RAM. I was having a hard time finding a similar deal on stuff even custom built. I recommend you check it out. They have daily sales from time to time. The only downside is you have to wait awhile for it to get to you but I couldnt be happier with it.
I could have built you better, for less. You over payed payed for a shiny logo, a generic or unknown brand of PSU, bloatware, and parts you could have switched out ( I7 for gaming is pointless, non ti 660 is meh)
But hey it's got a cool logo on it.

That's not how hardware works. This game may push your system harder than most games (non-MMOs) due to using more processor cycles than your average bear, but it cannot push it beyond the hardware's limits. Your system was either insufficient to begin with (junk PSU may be labeled 750W while pushing only 300W on 12v rail), a problem existed that you just previously failed to recognize, or you just had back luck.
This is horrible advice. You do not need an i7 at all; you will not benefit from it in gaming. A i5-4670 will give you identical performance in gaming, and it would still be overkill until you're running a gtx780 or similar.
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129066 ($70)

Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131837 ($130)
Brings it to.. About $950 (some of the stuff is a bit overkill, and you can get rebates/combo deals) But you'd be future proof for a bit. The only reason I recommended the 850W PSU is in case you ever would want to SLI.
