Don't know if this was addressed already, but I'm on a PS3. I'm getting ready to take on Titan for my relic. Has any other PS3 players noticed a huge lag problem during this fight? I want to be prepared. I've had lag issues in other instances so this concerns me going into this. I've been watching videos but all have been PC players. Also, I noticed they play in the normal view and I am playing in Legacy view, would it be wise to change or stick to what I know? TIA

    Midori,

My biggest suggestion would be to memorize the rotation. If you know what ability is coming next then you can predict the ability. If it's a dodging mechanic just be ready to move early. For bombs, most of them give you plenty of time to move.

If you are waiting until the animation appears then chances are its already too late to move out of it.

I currently play in legacy view as well. Classic view just annoys me. It doesn't make much difference i would think as long as you can move quickly.

I've heard that wireless PS3 can have latency issues, but hard wiring your connection fixes that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5g4TM1fkCg (I know this is normal titan, same issue tho)

This is my problem. I'm geared, know the mechanics and the fight. I do cast constantly and cancel appropriately. I run instantly. I don't sprint/jump in the AE, and I try to cast instantly when leaving the AE.

I still get knocked off most of the time. My latency is < 200ms.

At this point, I'm blocked, there's no amount of prep or gear to get around this that I can see.

Anyone have a solution for this? Running constantly doesn't work for heals...

My friend is on PS3 and he had no problems getting out of stuff. He got his relic.

You're gonna have those latency issues regardless of it's wired or wireless. I have 3MB/s (24 mbit/s) internet and there's been cases where my friend had no latency problems and I had serious problems.

The only solution at this point is to memorize the rotation (it's posted all over the internet) and put Sprint on your bar. You need to pre-cast Sprint before the ability comes out. If you have the rotation memorized, it should be easy to do.

I suppose that's a path at least. Unfortunately you might also run INTO an AE. Not as likely, but with a 15 min frustrating fight, I wish that the UX worked so it was more a challenging pure skill fight, and less a game of compensating and chance. Meh.

In that case, people are supposed to spread out and one common problem that I see is that people like to stand next to each other so when the WotL drops, it comes clumped together and becomes very difficult to run out. The way that it's supposed to go is that he targets 3 people/areas with 1 each. You're supposed to have an empty area to run to regardless of what direction you run in.

A really good option is actually to stack in p5 for plumes, and run out when it's is about to be cast. That way folks are already moving to an empty space and will dodge plumes. The only issues are if somebody starts moving late - they'll die - or if two people move too early and a third person doesn't but goes the same way - they will die too. Not something I'd suggest for DF groups, but like others have said, I'd suggest not doing DF groups at all and go with a pick up group from your server. At least you'll find out if they are worth playing with in the future.
