    FATE is Ruining this game, please buff dungeons.

    Like the title says.

    Simply put, FATE blows. The novelty of it has worn off, all it is now is forming a party and rushing to the location praying you make it in time to spam a few instant cast abilities so that you'll get credit. There are just so many people at any given time that it just turns into a laggy spam-fest devoid of any real skill, that enables the slackers to effectively leech their way to 50 without really learning their roles in a party.

    Let me make 1 thing clear - I'm NOT against FATE, I just feel that Dungeons really need to be buffed. I'm talking increased EXP per kill, increased spirit bond rates and maybe a gil/GC seal reward at the end for speedy completion. Again, I've no problem with FATE being a viable option, my beef is that it's currently the *only* option and quite frankly I'd rather go back to monster grinding in 1.0 over the current system because at least in 1.0 you had to actually pay attention and learn how to play. As it stands, FATE is simply far too mindless, boring, and repetitive.

    As horrible as the grinds in FFXI or 1.0 were, they were still better (in terms of the experience of playing the game, not EXP rates) than this. I miss that sense of community that partying instilled back then.

    Please, do SOMETHING to alleviate the current mess. I'm almost sorry I paid for the 6 month sub at this point in all honesty - I say almost, because I love the game at its core but am finding the grind to be far more demoralizing than soloing BST or BLM pre-ToAU to 75 were in FFXI, and that's saying something.

    TOTALLY AGREE. Fates are mindless zergs. Can't get a group for dungeon runs because nobody knows their toons. As a White Mage, geared..... standing around waiting for a dungeon pop for an hour...... means something's wrong. Fates are meaningless and the quests (mostly fedex quests) are boring as hell.

    Where's the PvP? If there ever is any? Battlegrounds? I'm fifteen levels from "end game" but what I'm fearing is that I'll be at end game and there isn't any.

    First month is up and I've re-subbed, but finding myself not even wanted to log in.
    Excited and then painfully bored after a month. And grinding out another soul is just that. Grinding. Looks like the next patch is sorta "meh" too.

    They need to buff leve XP for battle classes.

    It's absurd for DPS that there is no practical way to level solo. Dungeon queues are too long, hunting log doesn't give near enough xp to amount to much of any gains, and leves give really poor xp and you can only do a few of the each day if you have not saved up leves (which most people leveling crafting/gathering as well definitely aren't).

    Your only real options are to find groups and spam fates, all day, for hours on end, or two find a group and grind mobs all day, for hours on end.

    Fates are stupid I agree. I hated them on GW2 also - though they are every dumber on this game.

    Dashing from point to point frantically casting my instant cast spells on everything I manage to target in the micro second they are alive is not very entertaining gameplay.

    I miss the old days when monsters on MMO's did not die in a few seconds.

    I'm in definite agreement with the OP. I don't really mind the normal pace of leveling up, but getting your second class to a higher level is really painful. In general, I would say that all sources of exp besides FATEs need to be buffed and FATES need to be toned down a bit. I think FATEs should be fun "bonus exp" that you get while running from place to place... not something that you farm for hours on end. That's just me though.

    I completely agree. I never used FATES to just spam spam spam all day until I got 50, i did some FATEs, did dungeons and also made sure my Scenario quests were up with my level, but it seems so many people in this game just abuse it to level fast and easy. I can understand that FATEs are mostly used to level up alt classes faster but I feel that dungeons should get a buff so that people won't abuse FATEs as much and by this, people will know their roles better rather then not going into a dungeon until they are 30-50.

    I also know that it is very hard for DPS to level with dungeons which is why this is another side of the coin, I don't really know a fix myself for this but I hope SE figures something out soon.

    Casuals demanded fates, and that's how you level solo, the entire leveling process in this game is solo, quest/FATE is all solo, you be "online" to play by yourself all you want now, congratulations.

    Buffing dungeons won't help. Unless you're running static groups or forming your own server groups, duty finder queue times for dps roles still range from 30-60 minute wait times.

    I'm not to keen on fate grinding. I don't think giving more xp in dungeons will help, unless SE's goal is for is to rush to 50. Hunting logs are ment to supplement xp and give us things to do while running around. It's not ment for us to level off off.

    I think SE does need to adjust fate experience points, give us other group oriented xp options (or we find them), and leave dungeon xp alone.
