I finally figured it out, Vesperia = gifthorse is disguise.

i think that the big cutscenes really should have VO, as should every npc you can talk to, at least something like, "hey traveller, how can i help you" or, " glad you're here, i got something of interest..." , thats not asking for much but it makes things more alive in cutscenes no VO is just retarded, no need to defend that. It is possible, and its not hard to find decent people for that job. Cool character VO add to the immersion, sounds in general, which are poor in this game so far.
But since the trees have no shadows, why should people talk![]()

We've gone over these things a million times before.
If they do add these little things, it will be much later down the road.

?? who cares? why the heck should we "be grateful"? As much as I dislike Vesperia because I know he's trolling, I agree with him that the game can use voice overs and who the hell cares what "other FF games are like"? There's plenty of other RPGs that have voice overs.

Please SE implement Voice acting. I don't care if it's cheesy.
PS: I'd still like to see a 3rd-party app that voice acts. It would be like cheesy(with humor i hope) fan dubs.
SquareEnix stopped being "Final Fantasy" the moment Sakaguchi left. If you care so much about older FF, Mistwalker says hi.Originally Posted by Mack

It's not so much that they're against it, they just don't see these as important features. Especially right now when we have about a billion other things on our plate first. If they do add them, that's ok. But it shouldn't be our prime concern.
It saddens me that you used the "brainless fan boys" argument. You're usually more mature than that.

I only want voice acting if every npc has their own personality, the last thing I want is for SE to copy paste the same voice and line to every single NPC.... Like every other Voice Acted MMO does.
I do not see SE hiring thousand of people to do voice overs so I say stick with the main story and maby main quest lines only.
Having the same voice overs. Like every npc saying "can I help you?" or like rift "Death to the dragons" in the exact same voice... is sorta mega lame.

Anyways, more VO is fine, but not everything.
I can see something like a Zelda style VO, like whenever you tlk to an NPC, most of them would let out a sigh or a groan, or chuckle. Something simple, doesn't really have to be word for word.

we're deaf and mute in this game. anyways they should of made a stupid language that everyone in Eorzea speaks that does not sound like English (sorta like LOTR with the elves) recorded npcs and cutscenes in that language and therefore had one cut scene set and everyone sorta relied on subtitles, this does suck if you think about those with hearing disabilities or those with reading disabilities I understand that is sort of a consideration. But they effed up on not having the voiced cut scene in the beginning be in all languages available in fans eyes, so I think they need a new way to add voicing in general to the game.
I'll just leave this here, again.
VO the cutscenes: already being done. VO the in-game NPC: wont happen just to appease you nerds. The cost and resources to VO hundreds if not eventual thousands of NPC dialogues would be outrageous at best.
