Coil 1-4 is definitely too short. We did it on Monday took 55 min total that was with 1 guy getting dced for 10 min. Had one of our member not gotten dced would of finished in 45 min. Turn 5 is still has a bug so can't do that.

*clears throat* YOU'RE BAD. That is allIm a gamer who loves a challenge. I dont scoff at hard difficulty in games, but in an MMO such as FFXIV difficult dungeons/bosses present a unique problem.
Eight people doing something correctly together, coordinating together is very time consuming, and just feels frustrating. If one key role dies such as a healer or tank, the fight goes sour. If someone misses a AOE dodge or does not know the fight it becomes a problem. This is the primary concern of the Duty finder in endgame.
Ive done the whole teamwork thing. Im in a FC, ran COIL turn 1 and 2 using mumble/teamspeak, use linkshells for good groups, etc but it just comes off as frustrating. Spending up to an hour trying to get people on to do the content, and then the content you attempt is just riddled with tons of mechanics to all be familiar with. All 8 players mind you to perform perfectly.
Do people even know how to read? It certainly isn't about "a guy being bad".
He may not be the worst player but he definitely doesn't sound the best. If he's saying cap the difficulty at Ifrit and AK that's bad. Both are incredibly easy and if the rest of the game is that easy it sounds terrible. That's how you know he's bad, the difficulty cap he proposed.
Ok, this is getting a little ridiculous. So if you (OP) were playing Super Mario Bros, the last world should be unlocked as soon as you turn on the game. You only ever learned how to jump a Goomba and would rather not have to figure out Flying Koopas, but feel that Bowser should be defeated by jumping on him once while he stands still... "Fireballs too difficult IMO! Jumping at the RIGHT time? Asking too much." The Hammer Bros must have absolutely eaten your lunch as a child.
Almost EVERY game in existence requires you to learn something and apply that skill to advance within the game (even if it's as simple as moving out of the fancy glowing area on the floor). If you don't want to be challenged at all, go watch TV.
I believe you're describing World of Warcraft
Partically I agree with you OP and partically I do not.
I understand where you come from. Yes, your individual skill does not matter so much if the rest of the team bath in red. But there are alot of premade teams of elite players like yourself (and maybe even better) that need stuff that challenges THEM. I recommend to do easier content with same team and learn to work together. That will help in the long run as you always play better with people whose playstyle you are familiar with than people you barely know.
Other MMO's I played had story (easy) mode raids, then hard and nightmare modes. I don't think it would be a bad thing for the game to have "easy" version of the primal and coil fights that the casuals could do for fun, while the hardcore progress through the hard and nightmare modes. Would also be a good place for those of us being told "l2p" to actually..you know, learn to play.
Just make it so the rewards for easy mode is no better than AK or WP, and don't count towards relic weapons. Would also help break up some of the monotony of grinding AK and WP 8 times a week.
