    I just got to Endgame this weekend with my hubby, and we has 2 failed bosses out of about 14 only because 1st time threw we needed to learn what to do as a team. Never had any issues getting wins.

    Also things are only going to get easier and easier as people get there Item level 70 and 90 gears.

    Commendations.
    If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
    If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
    If I play healer I only give it out to tank.

    Only if they should be getting a commendation.
    There are always exceptions to the rules!

    I'm with the OP, I just find it too stressful and/or time consuming to get involved in the TIER 1 endgame content.

    Just be patient, it's already been indicated Titan will be nerfed, and the general idea I've got from reading the producers letters is they plan to nerf after each introduction of new endgame content so the 99% can beat it.

    The Egos and Epeens are strong in this Thread, +1 here OP i don't play games to be challenged, i have real life for that..

    Honestly what challenge does a Virtual game give seriously, do you put "i beat Coil turn 5 in FF14" on your resume....no lol

    For many people, the challenge to progress, learn, advance, "get better" doesn't need to be limited to only what we do in real life. We want our entertainment to challenge us too. There are plenty of simple mindless "entertainment" games out there, luckily for us some MMOs are better than that.


    It seems the challenge in the Virtual FFXIV End game is great considering the number of people complaining that it can't be completed without coordination, determination, focus, teamwork and commitment. And if you are curious about what does "I beat Coil turn 5" get you.... Apparently it means quite a bit to the players of FFXIV given all the posts about it being impossible or too hard ,etc.

    Oh my god, there's actually people agreeing with the OP and saying things need to be easier. I hope SE completely ignores this entire thread and NEVER makes the game a complete cake walk like some people want.

    How can you find in joy or feel any accomplishment in something that's so easy it's basically handed to you? What feels better, a fierce battle of constant wipes, death, and finally victory, or steam rolling it 1/1 in one go with no thought or challenge behind your victory?

    At some point all the games content should be accessible to all players regardless of their skill level. Don't worry though they'll add a new hamster wheel for the elite with each nerfing.

    If I'm understanding this correctly, OP thinks that top tier content should be more forgiving. As in, a very competent team of players (random or FC) should be able to clear it without having spent hours memorizing youtube videos and dying via trial and error of getting hit by 1 shot kills, just so they can perform flawlessly to clear it. Instead a competent group should be able to clear content by reacting to it as it comes. Which would require room for a few mistakes to be made.

    Do I think that Needs to happen? probably not. there are plenty of people who can spend those hours watching vids to clear endgame stuff. and when new content comes out the current endgame will probably get nerfed to let everyone else enjoy it as well.

    But at the same time I wouldn't mind content to be setup as a little more forgiving, currently in some endgame content (unless most of the party is overgeared) a single mistake will doom you and your party, there is zero room for error.

    Which is partly what makes it so hard to find a group of players and clear content with them. They can be completely competent, properly geared, but just because they haven't memorized fight they are screwed.

    Ok, this is getting a little ridiculous. So if you (OP) were playing Super Mario Bros, the last world should be unlocked as soon as you turn on the game. You only ever learned how to jump a Goomba and would rather not have to figure out Flying Koopas, but feel that Bowser should be defeated by jumping on him once while he stands still... "Fireballs too difficult IMO! Jumping at the RIGHT time? Asking too much." The Hammer Bros must have absolutely eaten your lunch as a child.

    Almost EVERY game in existence requires you to learn something and apply that skill to advance within the game (even if it's as simple as moving out of the fancy glowing area on the floor). If you don't want to be challenged at all, go watch TV.

    BC will remain the hardcore top-of-the-difficulty-curve content. Crystal Tower, however, will be tuned to accommodate more errors.

    I think there needs to be hard content that challenge those who want the challenge. We are just presented with an incomplete product at launch (missing Crystal Tower).
