With the amount of Tomes Of Philosophy that i have to grind for to gear my jobs is bad enough and then they go and block speed runs. I don't understand why this community whines so much about speed runs. No other community for any other mmo is this whiny about it.

maybe because it's almost like cheating? when you speedrun, most of the time you break the main purpose of the trash by skipping them. how can you feel content to have get your DL stuff like this?

I have -never- got the ideal behind this. There is no problem whatsoever with skipping trash mobs if it is possible.

From common sense, they changed it because people were skipping these "trash mobs" meaning they were not playing the game the way it was intended, meaning it is somewhat like a form of cheating.

2. avoid (something undesirable) by luck or skill.
Synonyms for cheating: avoid, escape, evade, elude

So yes, it is a form of cheating by avoiding mobs that were never meant to be avoided.

So every time I avoid a mob in some random high-level zone I'm cheating? Those mobs are designed to attack on sight, and here I go deftly evading them to save some time on the run to my destination of choice. I'm a cheater and I never knew!

I was pointing out a key flaw in her post. Never did I say she or you were a cheater, but people like to make assumptions. *Shrugs*

You're implying people should take any kind of pride in having DL when it takes next to nothing in terms of skill to obtain.

If you want to be all technical.. what is the best way to infiltrate an enemy base? Head on? Or sneaky?

I think being sneaky fits what you are doing. You are infiltrating an enemy base right?
