But is this game really 3 years old? I thought the last release failed so they tore it down.
Your not refering to 11 right? I'm assuming not. But yeah, I wasn't even thinking about the other release, I thought it was scrapped.

Technically, FFXIV is 3 years old, and for those people who played 1.0 and got a "head start" (I don't even know if I can call it that) into leveling, there's likely not enough content at the moment - just the general feeling I get from browsing this forum too much, as I myself am not Legacy. It is true that endgame is not varied enough to hold attention for a long time, but, like you said, the game (well, 2.0) is relatively new, and we do have more content coming in the next month or so, not to mention the hotfixes that are going on as this post is, umm, posted. I'm going to stick around (I already paid, so why not) and see what Yoshi-P has in store.
