Id rather grind than have the lag beleive you me. The new dungeons are weeks away its no big deal. The lag however appears to be here to stay unless players speak out about it and not be complacent.
"Your former glories and all the stories, dragged and washed with eager hands..but oh your city lies in dust my friend!"
Getting bored of this now. Titan is a frustrating experience. In my MMO 'career' i've beaten much harder bosses with my guild... a guild i'm still playing with now in FFXIV. It's not our computers, it's not our connections, it's not our strategy, it's not our skill, it's not our gear. We know the tactics, the rotations, our classes, our jobs.
The problem, dear SE, is your game. 98 pages and still no response is not only ignorant and disrespectful, it's frankly downright disappointing.
I'll throw in my vote of agreement as well. After running Titan a bit, I successfully dodge about 85% of AoEs, yet the rest of the time it's range is slightly longer than I think it will be (slightly outside the red line), or I think I'll have made it in time only to be smacked a second later.
Here's a hint SE - Make the damage happen ON THE ANIMATION. If you dodge it before the red line/circle vanishes and the animation appears, you should always dodge it. I don't care if you have to shorten the red line animation time to adjust for this change, as long as is I can consistently know when I have dodged or been hit.
I'd like to be a part of the percentage of players that are not in Endgame content cause avoiding Titan's AoEs is just impossible.
Practiced a lot and still being hit by Any AoE that I do not pre-dodge. whicth is stupid, I have to memorize a boss that I've never fought to be abel to fight him... Seriously this ruins immersion. I feel like a kitten with a bow.

Sigh...
Kids these days and their inflated sense of ego, thinking that if they're fine, everything in the world is too. Believe it or not, this thread is not about if you can or not beat Titan.
Just put him on ignore, report and move on.
Probably a summary of what I'm trying to make this guy realize, lol. How does one ignore someone in the forum anyway? Cant find a button!
and yeah that's probably my final reply to him, no point in saying more if the person still refuses to understand something so simple~
I find Titan HM to be quite challenging and fun. It's one of those bosses that is well designed and will really keep out those who are not competent enough to play the game. This is a Japanese-developed game, they love challenges, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't fix it, because it's not broken. "Don't fix what's not broken"
The AOE plumes on Titan is just fine. Thousands of people beat it with no problems. It's either people are lagging or people are just slow in dodging. I've finished Titan HM several times and the trick to the AOE, don't stand there too long. As soon as you see it, move right away.
Tldr, there's nothing that needs to be fixed in Titan HM. It's perfect. If people can't dodge then tough luck. If this really is a problem, then we shouldn't see people with their Relic weapons or doing Coil.
Don't blame the people's lack of skill to dodge to Square Enix.
You guys keep showing that strawman what's up, how dare he demand titan get nerfed!
Fix the unacceptable delay when dodging AOEs. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/84124-Either-make-dodging-AoEs-possible-or-make-them-not-instant-kills
Fix it! http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/89828-Sorry-SE-but-endgame-won-t-work-if-you-don-t-fix-something.
Proxy / Tunnelling servers do not fix bad netcode.
They also do not work if your route to the destination is already good.
They only work if your ISP routes you to the other side of the world and back, before hitting the true destination.
Basically to those saying that it's an "internet or lag" issue are basically saying that anyone outside of the US cannot play this game, and sorry but you are very wrong.
This is not a ping issue, this is poor netcode - ie server/client relationship.
Positional checks happen every 0.3 seconds, so there is already an artificial positional lag before even considering internet latency.
The fix for this is to make damage checks on AoE / Telegraphed abilities client side. If you want an example of great netcode, go play PSO2 (all of those calculations are done client side), pretty much any FPS game, Tera, hell even Guild Wars 2 has decent netcode.
Why is it that in these games, I can play with someone over the other side of the world with extremely minor issues with latency at worst - yet in this game, simply being half way across the country causes issues for dodging on-screen ques.
The issue is not how "hard" or "easy" The Naval (Hard) is....
The issue is not that anyone in this thread needs to "learn a fight with a very linear order to the monster's skillset".
End game fights shouldn't be difficult due to poor netcode and a memory test. They should be difficult because of challenging mechanics and a randomized skillset.. How do you make things harder? Add a randomized element to it so you can't just "remember the skill order".
The whole argument that "people should learn the order" is completely stupid. The fact that there is an "order" to these abilities in the first place makes the fight easier then it should be.
Fixing this issue would not only improve gameplay and response, it would allow for more actual difficult content, instead of the current artificial roadblocks. Content should be hard, not a latency or memory test.
It is so laughable when some people in here are telling others to "get a better internet"... Ok no problem, I will just fly to the other side of the world, buy a house at montreal, just so I can play an MMO.
