    A flimsy response, yes, but it is what it is. My guess is that they still need to do a lot of work in the areas of art assets, motion capturing, and animation, but who knows.

    I doubt they didn't do a riding animation in the mocap session. Unless they have an internal mocap studio. If thinking about the usefulness of anima is all the thinking they've done on chocobos, how sad. Anima isn't that useful. Most people don't want to use it. Even if chocobos were only rented out of the 3 cities, that would be fine for a start. Baffling. SE is never going to catch up with this level of cluelessness.

    Well, actually, there already are riding animations, as you can see in stuff like the archer and conjurer class quests. I was thinking more along the lines of mounting, dismounting, emotes, advanced riding actions, etc)
