Scholars - missing the point

I do have to say I would prefer adlo actually did a straight shield with a ten second time duration on it instead of current lets face it. It would be great for Titan. You shield team and whm casts regen/medica during those oh god how I hate you moments of Titan. Give that heal to the shield on succor and adlo. Remove the heal. Physick is my more preferred spell than adlo. I only use adlo for the shield or when the tank dropped and lustrate isn't available. To increase survivability I'll go embrace-adlo-physick-embrace-adlo in those ph shit moments and my major oh shit button isn't ready if I used up aetherflow already.

If the tank is at full health I just wasted that spell pretty much as I only got half the benefit from casting it.

Scholar is extremely powerful in endgame. Both titan, which can hardly be considered endgame anymore (its quite possible to solo heal titan as sch if you manage your pet, which you should, cus you should. No other class has abilities auto used, and neither should a sch) and coil allow sch to shine.

Coil 1: Probably the easiest set up for this fight is dual scholar. Makes the fight pretty snooze.
Coil 2: Sch + WHM really shines.
Coil 3: lulz
Coil 4: any time a tank is getting wrecked, you want a sch.
Coil 5: idk, my bff jill.

The ONLY thing wrong with current sch: the fact that using an ability takes the pet off steady. While its possible to work around this, it wastes time, which is no good. This too, however, can be dealt with by good fairy placement (in which case you never need to manually embrace, so then its just managing the aoe).

This! I mostly find myself being a "placer" scholar ("most" of the time). Great placement can definitely take the battle of steady out of the situation. While still managing the pet's other aoe CD's. Just sliding it over near the tank for tank healing but not so far away as to not get either the eos or selene aoe CD's I find that I never have to control their embrace as they are already doing it when I would want them to. Thus allowing me more time to do my own thing.

Right, I like how a fight favors dual sch... and yet whms aren't crying rivers of QQ about nerfing SCH tank healing...

Like others have stated if we are about dmg migation allow our shield to work above 100% hp.

I mainly use Selene and simply putting her on Obey works around this silly (bug) steady/guard issue. I don't understand why Eos will still use Whispering Dawn while on Obey though. Very annoying. I don't have much faith in SE when it comes to this game but this is such an obvious over sight/bug that they are sure to fix it with 2.1. I would like if they fixed Obey/Six to be stances as well.

According to tooltip (been meaning to test but every time I get a chance I totally forget) if the tank is already at full health they receive a 0 strength shield as the shield is based on health restored according to the tooltip but we all know how often those are wrong.

Trust me, that's not the case. Go outside any city, attack an enemy, and cast it on yourself and you'll take 0 damage.

^^Yeap this is true, i've always Adloq the tank first b4 starting the fight in Titan HM. And pretty much kept the tank with shield even he's still in full hp.

Great class love it. People seem to have a hard time understanding damage migration.
