    Best thing I can think of is making the cap and tomes class locked. So if you max tomes as a paladin you can switch to monk to get tomes for your monk class. Of course with this they would have to implement a filter when buying gear as well is glad/pad can only buy glad/pal gear and cannot buy conj/whm gear that way it still puts a pace on how fast you can gear up each class and you can't have players in full AF2 gear in a couple of days by buying pal gear with tomes collected on a Monk.

    Typical hater action.
    I didnt say that the OP complains abou lack of things to do.
    I said that if we dont have the cap on Mythology, then we HAVE to spend all our time in doing AK runs, THUS leaving us with absolutely 0 time to do something else.

    1: Alts are not gimp due to myth cap, alts can do JUST FINE with AK and Darklight gear.
    2: I hate alts, there is 0 reason to having them, I dont wanna start the game multiple times from the begining.

    Stop hating, learn to play.
    Your alt job on the same character will have inferior gear and thus will have lower hp/defences, lower DPS and lower healing since it is in ilvl70 compared to ilvl90 gear and relic+1. You may get by naked in ifrit and garuda. But bettering yourself is the one the main reasons to even play/sub to this kind of mmo skinnerbox. Otherwise people would just sub only when new content appears instead of trying to gear their character.

    They should separate af2 into its own tomes. That each job has it's own weekly cap for it. E.g you can get 300 tomes per week for each job you do the dungeon on.

    The armory system is basically currently useless in comparison to alt characters

    1.alternative characters are a much quicker way to get your alt job geared with mythos gear and relic+1
    2. cannot change job in dungeons anyway
    3. If you have 2 two character they can each do their own coils runs each week

    I really hope Crystal Tower drops AF2. I am so goddamn sick of this game being nothing more than "Do this simple dungeon, wait a week". At least if I can have a low chance of obtaining AF2 in Crystal Tower I can spam Crystal Tower instead of not playing because 300 Mythology Tomestones doesn't even take 5 hours to get...

    If you are so leet and hardcore i guess you are farming 4 first turn of coil each week right ?

    This means 6 pieces of gear each week for 8 people, or 0.75 a week. At about 600 average mytho per piece, this amount to 450 more mytho per week available.

    So you can reach up to 750 mytho-equivalent gear per week. Thus, it won't take 28 weeks, but 0.4 * 28 = about 11 weeks to fully gear a job. Assuming coil turn 6 is released in about 6 month, you will be well on your way to gearing your third job by then. Now take into account that some gear is split for multiple job (jewelry and belt AF2, and gear allagan), and you may have what ? 4 job completely geared by then ? 5 ? If they up the cap with 2.1 you will have even more gear opportunities -- if not, at least you will have level 80 gear available too. Oh and let's not forget turn 5 will be more doable once 2.1 is here, so there will be that too.

    I really fail to see the problem.

    Of course, if you are not clearing all 4 turn of coil every week, then it is longer. But then, you are not getting all the 90 gear you can every week, so how can you complain that you get too little per week ?

    By 'Easing the cost' of the equipment, I think they mean 'Raising the cap'. The cap makes sense at 300 with only 1 dungeon, 3 primals, and 1 Turn of the coil dropping Myth at the moment. With 2.1 I expect the cap to rise to either 500 or 700 with 2 new Hard Mode dungeons, 2 Extreme Primals, 1 returning 'Primal' (GKMM XII), The Crystal Tower, etc.

    AF2 gear will NOT drop from Crystal Tower. Crystal Tower will contain "Crystal" gear of approximate iL80. They have stated that as of 2.1 the 'best' will still be the Allagan (not true for some pieces of AF2+1 / Relic+1, etc).

    What kind idealistic world do you live in where the coil drops are never wasted? Either getting drops for job not present ,constantly getting for the same job/person or getting repeat drops that appeared last runs.

    Sadly for multiple weeks we have been getting nearly 50% drg drops and 30% blm drops when we dont have a drg in our pt and our blm has to pass on gear because he already got the allagan peice because it dropped the weeks before. Healer gear and tank gear is the rarest drops.

    Have you not done coil yourself and choose to talk about how easy it is to get geared via coil. Even if you didn't do coil you would know that it seems certains peices drop more then others such as book drops from primals.

    No. a million times NO.

    I fully plan to use my Warrior to get faster queues into AK to get Tomes faster for my DD classes when i don't have friends online.
    Your idea would ruin my ability to tank for random parties and still get useful things for my other classes.

    Doubtful, I'll probably just do what I'm currently doing; finish that backlog of good games I never got around to playing.

    I'd be absolutely fine with the current cap, if it wasn't so ridiculously easy to reach. It doesn't even take 5 hours out of my week, and once I'm done with that there is very little left to do outside scheduled events (Coil). Leveling other classes so I can't gear them for anything remotely interesting (Coil) and crafting/gathering for Gil I don't need... Crystal Tower will hopefully be good, but the new dungeon and two hard mode dungeons they're adding will just add variety to Mythology farming (not that that is a bad thing), extreme mode Primals are just what Primals should be in the first place and the only reason to do Primals at this point is again, Mythology farming... PvP might be an option, assuming living in Europe doesn't completely screw me out of that in any real capacity...

    There really just isn't enough for me to do in this game that the core of endgame can be over in <5 hours...

    So if each class had it's own Mythology cap....

    Each AK run gives 40 tomes per run. It takes 8 AK runs to cap for the week. There are 8 classes which means if you wanted to cap them all for the week it would take 64 runs to do so. If you do 64 runs in a week, and assume you are with a group that can beat it in 30 minutes or less per run, it would take 32 hours of game play time a week to accomplish this task. That is hardcore!

    While realistically almost no one would do this, giving mythology caps to each class has more negative sides to it than positive.
