    You need to understand, it has nothing to do with when the red appears and disappears, the cast bar is the only thing that matters. Many things require you to be out of the red well before the animation for the attack starts.

    On the other hand, you can get a jump on your attacks if you know when the cast bar ends. For Garuda blasts and the room aoe on the last boss of AK, for example, I am out of hiding and back to work before the animation starts, it looks like I eat it. I probably give teammates in pugs a heart attack every time I do this.

    The problem is exactly this. There is cast time, ground warning, and cast animation but only the cast time is important. The issue is from the first two lining up poorly from time to time. Titans weight of the earth loves to hit me... rather odd since I am a person who has been dealing with those exact type of mechanics in WoW for the last few years and never had a problem.

    The worst is when everyone in the group can see you are clear of something with plenty of time left but you still get hit with it...
