because you don't like a fact, that don't give you the right to be rude.
you can't compare dragoon from the FF series at the one from FF11 or FF14, why? because in the solo game we add almost no skill to use.

here it's a mmorpg with much more skill needed for make a class complete.
we know that SE will add new skill with the level cap increase and this one will come sooner than later...why? because for some player we are at level 50 for more of 2 years! the point here is to discuss what sort of skill we want to see added to the Dragoon.

I kind of hope Dragoon does get a wyvern pet, if only to see all the nonsensical naysayers riot. You naysayers do realize your logic falls just as loose as the people defending the wyvern idea, right?

Personally, I just want them to make Jumps as much of an evasive maneuver as it is an offensive one--as it should be. I'd honestly rather not have it so that we can change our landing spot, but instead just be invulnerable for a second. One means it's just another off-GCD ability, the other means some skill is involved.

1.- There is a good argument for Dragoons to not have wyvern pets, that is, Dragoon kill wyverns not train them, this is not "How to train your dragon".
2.- Jumps have been always an Offensive move, the evasion granted by them is a bonus to it, but the whole idea behind Jump is to get airborn to strike foes from above with increased strenght.

    1) That example, again, falls short. That's like saying, "Hunters hunt animals, they do not train them." And yet...almost every example of a "Hunter" class, ranging from the core basics of RPGs (Dungeons and Dragons), to almost everything else: Boom, animal pet. If it helps you hunt, then of course you'd train the animal.

Look at our relationship with dogs, and tell me otherwise. I'm not saying Dragoons should get a pet, just that arguments for or against tend to not carry much weight. As you just demonstrated.

    2) As for Jumps always being an offensive move primarily, that is also wrong. Originally, Jump was a move that would literally remove you from combat (therefor, you'd do no damage for a few turns--great for the offense, I hear) to, if used wisely, negate an attack on your person, and then appear along with an attack of your own. Its a very bad offensive move, but a great defensive one--mechanically. Also, mechanically, there are literally no "airborne" targets in this game.

On both accounts, your logic falls short.

And did you just argue against the logic that if one is not physically present to be damaged by an attack, they should not be damaged by it? If not, then what was the point of your #2?

if our power come from a dragon, and that is part of the story, it's must be possible to make submit a wyvern.

i will say is not impossible to make a wyvern come land an attack, but it will lead to one trouble

how this wyvern attack in interior? i means dragoon can't summons thing.

anyway i feel is not the best way to give a pet to the drg even if i miss my wyvern from FF11.

I never liked the FF11 interpretation of DRG and I hope the FF14 version never gets a pet, wyvern or otherwise. The FFTA breath attacks also struck me as a bit odd but I'm pretty indifferent about those.

Regardless, aren't the dragoons in this game members of a faction that's rather fanatically anti-dragon? I've not done more than the initial DRG quest but they appear to be from Ishgard no? I feel having any severely dragon-like aspects, such as breath attacks or makin' nice with a little dragon buddy would not go over well with these people.

And it is perfectly okay to feel that way.

Though, it was not a FF11 exclusive. Instead, it could be said to have manifested in FF11 (in a manageable way) due to years of previous lore. Lore wise, from FF2 and (the most popular version of Dragoon) in FF4 with Kain Highwind, Dragoons were Dragon Knights that literally rode Dragons into battle. There have been other characters throughout the franchise that could be considered "Dragoon-like" such as Cid from FF7, Freya from FF9, and Kimahri from FF10, but for the Dragoon, lore wise, they were mostly Dragon Knights who fought alongside dragons.

Now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure that Dragoons who solely were Dragon Slayers is a FF14 exclusive. Though you are correct in saying that Ishgard is heavily anti-dragon.

Again, I'm not for or against wyvern pets. Just, the more you now and all that.
