Don't say thank you after being a moron. First of all from what I see you're nto even an archer. Second most of us kite cause we know we will die to shitty tanks that can't hold aggro and several times there's no healer in FATE's.

I know cause I died several times standing there waiting for a heal.

Third, most times I root the mob, but the roflstomp dpsdpsdps mentality of others makes them not even see the sign that the mob is rooted.

So, if you want me to stop kiting, stop being an idiot dps and tank and start doing your job. Seems by the approach you took to archer players that you fit in the idiot dps category.

Not exactly feasible in multiple mob situations...I'd have to know what mob is eating them.

The OP was talking about FATE boss mobs. I don't think any solo archer kiting trash mobs around in FATEs even expects heals (though I tip my smexy feathered hat to the healers that do throw some even my way!). Still, tab-targeting around and using target-of-target/mouseover heals is easy.

So, if you want me to stop kiting, stop being an idiot dps and tank and start doing your job. Seems by the approach you took to archer players that you fit in the idiot dps category.

I have to agree with the OP, when i pull the mob, i stop attacking and use my enmity dumps rather than kiting the mob and stopping HALF the raid from doing dps.

Most of the time the archers even continue to attack, which means its close to impossible to get hate off of them.

a combination of that level of mentality coupled together with the fate leveled 'never set foot in an instance, never changed or upgraded gear since level 15, oh, i only have this crafting gear, nothing else' assures my stance of never ever pugging

No, I do wait to start dpsing and I don't even use CD's at the start (yes even in FATE's where people have a tendency to tag whatever they can). I am a tank myself as well.

But if after waiting 3 seconds and unleashing my first rotation the aggro is on me I'm sorry but it's the tank's fault not mine.

This reminds me of the other day.

Here I was leveling Archer for blm. Cactaur Jack is up. Theres a GLD and someoen else I beleive with a heal spell there too. I go, oh goody.

I hop down, I start an ability rotation. I immediately go into yellow, I just arrived and they've already been here for a bit. No biggie, next ability, yellow turns to orange. Uhhh....
I wait a second, it flips back to yellow, I do a couple of abilities, oh god its red and after me.

I'm not going to spend a huge amount of time just auto attacking this boss to death because the tank can't read his abilities and learn what enmity means. If he doesn't want to generate threat and tank, thats fine, I can run in circles. Thankfully, archer is 15 and time to move on to thm.

I've never lost aggro especially on Bosses at Fates when I leveled my Tank. Most likely you just encountered undergeared tanks or those who don't read their abilities and just use those with a fancy icon.
