really....... they gave us more then enough info. They told us what they are addining and changing. That what was all they was gonna give us. To expect a fully detailed description with a video woulda been over kill not to mention a HUGE post to read. And even still people would still complain.Sadly, I have to agree with Neptune.
Although having some information is nice, the post was pretty much lacking details/pictures.
To me, the most important thing is that the jobs and some skills would be learned by quests (not even more details than that though).
This kind of posts would make sense if the game was healthy and all but considering it's actual state, I think they have to set it up to really give excitement to the community.
Yeah, the battle note basically tells us nothing we didn't already know.
Instanced dungeon, duH!~ already knew that
Auto attack, duH!~ already knew that
Jobs on top of classes, duH!~ already knew that
Attribute tied to class rank, duH!~ already knew that
The letter seemed lengthy, but most of it are basically restating the same things
It's a little too early for the victory fanfare.
We're nearly entering June and Square Enix is still being tight-lipped about the specifics.
No pleasing some people, the details were enough to let us know what they are working on, SE has stated several times that they are not going to show us everything just incase some bits of it dont make it into the patch or into the game entirely.
Haters gonna hate, I'm actually very glad they are taking things very seriously with FFXIV, rather than just rush for updates and PS3 release. Keep doing great quality job SE!![]()
i'd argue that whilst your initial statement is somewhat correct, you're still wrong.Yeah, the battle note basically tells us nothing we didn't already know.

The blueprint wasn't supposed to be some incredible reveal, simply a notification of how certain things will work. The job system had a lot of speculation, but the blueprint frinally gave us something solid to think about.
The dungeons again had lots of speculation, but we now know them to be set out like a raid, fighting toward a boss.
We knew we were getting auto attack, but at least this gives us some slight information of how they're going to roll it out.
And as far as them switching attribute points over to class rank, we'd speculated, but they never confirmed it until now.
It wasn't restating, it was confirming and informing.
