This Game has some Serious Issues

FATEs are incredibly flawed. They certainly need a LOT of tweaking. I've lost count of how many level 50s I've seen that are wearing level 15 gear in Ifrit/AK. Had a WAR pop in Ifrit last night wearing level 18 gear and said he'd never tanked anything in the game and didn't know how to hold hate. That should never happen.

Assuming this highly unlikely scenario really occurred I'll respond a bit (yeah I know feeding the troll).

Do you really want to go down that path where SE makes massive sweeping changes to the game because there's stupid people out there? How are you going to level your third job to 50 without any fates? Hell how are you going to level your second as you can easily clear quest hubs with your first job?

With the removal of fates a person who joins this game and runs around doing all the quests for their first job (as they would in any other MMO) will be utterly screwed when they decide to level another job.

No, it's not trolling. Doing my relic quest on my Bard with my FC and we queued for a DPS and Tank and got a Warrior like that. Not my fault if you can't see how people can legitimately do this. I'm not saying to remove FATEs, just that they shouldn't be as good as they are.

Maybe not removal of fates but a gear check or possibly an IQ test, Id prefer the latter more Tbh. I've also had a paladin in Prae who gleefully announced after the first boss it was his first dungeon and boss tank...oh holy lord.
