SE Banning players with large amounts of gil?

Haven't read through this thread but have to voice my support. If it's true that people are being banned simply because they had the bad luck to have a gil seller/buyer purchase their items on the Market Board, it's completely unacceptable. It would mean that essentially every time you put something up on the Market Board, something I would assume Square-Enix would want to encourage, you are rolling the dice on a possibility that you could be banned.

Assuming the fact that nobody can honestly say "i didn't know" about the RMT spamming, if people on non-legacy servers begin to sell goods at exorbitant prices (unless you buy gils), and if they succeed to sell them at such prices, seriously, i can't imagine one second they didn't think they probably had business with someone who had illicit gil.

I think they fully understood the situation, but they didn't care at all. They were only interested in their profits, not in the "healthy economic model".
Not buying gils but gladly accepting them from players who bought them from the RMT... don't play innocent afterwards, buying gils with real money is prohibited, as well as fencing.

Sure RMT spamming is a nuisance, sure you can't prevent people from buying gils (but they soon get their account hacked as a reward, let that be a lesson for them).
But if people begin to lower their prices, to an affordable extent, then people wouldn't even think about buying gils.

Just targeting people with a lot of money would not be a wise decision. They have log files to track down where money came from. I expect they are targeting these players and then checking log files before they do anything. They know how the gold sellers are and if they track them back to something like that, then they will hand out punishment.

What they need to do is have a faster means of getting rid of gold spammers. I still have spammers blacklisted with names like fxfxfxfx fxghfx that aren't deleted yet and they've been on my list for a long time.

How about before you come here crying over high item costs you look up the ingredients first.

The only 'expensive' items in this game are ilvl 70 ones. They will NEVER be sold for 25k or whatever you think is reasonable because the ingredients are unreal. Ignoring all the other materials needed to make a lvl 70 ring, you still need 18 items only attainable through tombstones. Coke, Lime Sulphur, Animal Fat, etc. which cost 125 tombstones a piece.

To HQ one of these items 80%+ of the time you need a full set of best-in-slot crafting gear. You need to dump 150k minimum worth of materia into that gear (300-500+ is ideal). You need at least 6 crafting classes at lvl 15 and 2-4 at lvl 50 for the necessary cross-class abilities.

Once you've done all that you have to acquire 18 of those wonderful ingredients totaling 2250 tombstones for a shot at making ONE lvl 70 ring. Nobody is going to sell those ingredients for 1k or even 10k, because 125 tombstones take a significant chunk of time to farm.



So before you whine about greedy crafters selling HQ lvl 70 equipment for 2 million gil trying to rob you blind, remember that it cost them 1.5 million+ to even attempt to make it. When he sells it he has already made a few million himself so he knows it's entirely possible for others to have similar amounts.

Oh I understand the whining about it. If what you say is true, I'd be pissed as hell. But yeah, I would not play this game ever again if I was treated like that.

I said to those people who are still playing I find it curious-if you would play after something like this, it makes me doubt you are innocent.

I feel a fool for continuing to play after this.

But my wife likes the game and would also quit if I did.

Plus I like my FC and the people on my friends list.

I will keep fighting to have my account investigated by a human, I want my gil back.

I can't tell if you "trolling" or being serious, if it's the latter I'm afraid you don't have a clue and have not read any of this thread.

People made a large amount of gil by selling fairly cheap items in mass (2k-50k).

But if people begin to lower their prices, to an affordable extent, then people wouldn't even think about buying gils.

A load of rubbish, prices were and always are based on demand.

If we put things cheaper, they would simply sell faster than people could make them, I know because I was pricing things cheap and could not make them fast enough.

Even if people could fix prices lower, gil buyers (lazy players) would still be buying gil.
