Something needs to be done about tanks ruining the dungeon queue

Roll a tank.

SquareEnix cant MAKE people play tank classes, nor can they make the decent players out there play tanks. Could they have made groups 5-6 players large to give damage dealers more leeway? Maybe. But they didn't. So suck it up, meet some tanks and roll with them, or roll a tank and become the solution.

You are right here, but i think Se before fix miqo'te lower parts or other minor things need to make another tank class or better adjust or make a life easier to a war tank. Look i use to tank in other games but i don t like pally class here, instead i like war but you know check on tank roles why i gave up on it..So i rerolled as dps instead..and i am not the only 1 i guess

You could always pull the 'evil' route and merely write down their name, and tell all your friends and Free Company not to party with this person for this reason.

I believe there is a great deal of competition on that end. Even greater depending on how you define a MMO.

I've come across tanks who take their near-instant queues for granted and proceed to troll people by purposely joining and withdrawing from queue over and over again. I would really love a limit to how many times you can join/withdraw within a certain period of time.

Actually I suspect that may be a bug. Seen it happen so many times on tanks, healers and dps.

If that is the case, then I'll take back what I said. But from my experience it has always been the tank that withdraws, and how I know this is because I'm mostly in party with a healer and another dps.

For me, the most seen "withdraw" are dps. Even with 2 tanks 2 healers 3 dps from same LS. So my best bet is the DF got overloaded by queues and ppl get dropped

Tanks need to stop feeling entitled to be dicks. Last stats from SE showed 20% players were healers and 24% were tanks.

That's what happens when you roll DPS. Learn to live with the choices you make.

I've been having tanks that ruin the dungeon experience completely by simply running for the nearest 2-3 chests and then simply leaving, forcing the others to requeue.

Run instances with friends, FC, LS, random parties made through your server, etc... You can't control what others choose to do with the DF, DF comes with pros and cons.

As a DPS this is game breaking due to the fact that queues are very long to begin with.

Again, you chose to roll the most popular role. Deal with it.

Any word from SE of this? Or is the the good ol' "wall of silence" / "working as intended" as usual?

Tanking is really fun, challenging, rewarding, etc... I, for one, wouldn't do like the tanks you are talking about, because I am rich from crafting and gathering, but it is fully their right to do so. Tanks get pooped on from 15-50, even moreso in end-game, and I'm glad some of them are finding a way to get back at the rude DPS. Again, I don't have a problem with DPS or heals, but from what I hear in my FC, the bad tanks really get pooped on.
