    Duty Finder is the worst, the quality of players you meet is almost sad. Every now and then you meet that Unicorn that licks your healing wounds. Tanking is rather easy depending on your PT. A coordinated PT will always rock your world. Every now and then you'll find DPS that loves to Tank though, and blame you for not being able to hold threat. I guess he forget you were also tanking the BRDs mob who thinks he's a Pro Kiter. In the end it all comes down to your gear and whether your DPS outgear you. If they outgear you, I pity the fool. PS: Tell your Tank he did great when he tanks, you'll be surprised how many days you'll make as most DPS seems to dismiss tanking as nothing important. Until they're wiping cause they cant get tomes.

    Let's just be happy that the DOH/DOL classes keep you busy enough that you can entirely avoid the dismal end game scenarios.

    Ofc, he's applying SE logic! "Tells in dungeons could be bad tells! Right, lets completely remove them!"

    Tanks are just as bad as the rest of the players in the DF though. It's almost a miracle when you get a tank that realises it's prolly a good idea if he holds an entire trash pull instead of just smacking the first mob he targetted and leaving me to constantly spam sleep.

    There is a level of frustration in playing tanks and healers (and support in MMOs that have that) in MMOs in that if someone, let's say is below par, you have to work harder to correct their mistakes, where as if you are just another DPS in the group, it normally only becomes an issue for you if the mistakes cause a wipe.

    I personally wish they would toss the Duty Finder back into the hole they found it and replace it with something sensible, like something similar to Aion's LFG tool.

    As a tank I'll tell you playing one is not the frustrating part. It's the other people in the group that make it frustrating. I mean the DPS that don't measure their aggro, don't even bother to gauge threat generated by the tank vs their own and adjust accordingly, and go balls to the wall almost as if their mission in life was to make me hate them for not watching their threat. That's not even mentioning the attitudes and all sorts of BS.

    Yes, you also have the primadonas who will drop from the group if they so much get a hint of there being someone new or after the first wipe. My point still stands. Be a little nicer to the tank and heals (just show common sense and some respect, not kiss ass or anything like that) and you may see them to be more willing to queue up.

    Personally I'm not even bothered by the mistakes, as we all make them and had to start somewhere. It's when people start going "omfg theze nubs suk" and whine and start drama that it becomes aggravating.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
    * Design ideas:
    Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

    To the OP: Isn't valefor a JP server? If so well you can bet the japanese are the ones getting that short of a wait time during JP prime time. Remember the wait time is based on everyones wait time. I.e. : anyone who selects JP and EN both is probably getting a much shorter queue time than selecting just EN. I have noticed the same thing. If I get a an average wait, it is usually going to take 4x as long as that before it pops. As healer I sometimes get instant queues, but on JP side if you select EN only you have a much smaller pool depending on time of day.

    In my own experience Australia prime time and NA prime time is your best chance of having a reasonablish queue with English only, any other time is a deadzone. You can queue for JP as well if you are comfortable with the auto-translate, but I find a lot of people won't use it, so you may have trouble communicating if you need to.

    On the NA side however, my conjurer always has instant queues for any dungeon, and my arcanist and pugalist usually seems to be in the same range as the average wait time.

    Anyway, good luck. I understand where you are coming from since I have spent at least 50% of my time on my WHM on the JP servers and most of that time these days is spent crafting because the queue is so long.

    People wanna spank than tank or heal. Quit making those 2 classes a snoozefest to play you may have more healers and tanks.
    Also the two most difficult, you have to think on your feet and the moment people blame the tank or healer, they stop playing.
    I heal and dps so im content playing a healer.

    I actually started playing WHM because queue times were so long on DPS. Now on WHM it is very rare if I queue longer than a minute for primals and 5 mins for dungeons. Turns out though I actually really enjoy playing WHM and it's not as mind numbing as I originally thought it would be and can be pretty fun job.
