FATEs reduce people's IQ levels

Hold on calling healers lazy because we want the same reward tank is complaining about? This is what is wrong with this game. I do heal people during fates and am never in any parties, but I have to say that the communities attitudes toward greatness in this game are perpetuating the behavior being demonstrated in all aspects. half the time I am afraid to join parties for fear of being flamed. I just think healers are getting to the point where they are afraid to do anything in this game anymore.

If you do heal people during fates while not being partied then this topic hardly applies to you. Also thank you for actually healing people and to the others in this thread who do heal, I for one always appreciate it and would actually thank you in game if it showed a name tag attached to the heal I received. Hard to distinguish where these rare and very welcome heals come from when half the server is present.

Guess I'm "one of those" healers. I'll heal my party to no end, but I'm not going out of my way if you won't. It takes a single shout to get a party, no one is forcing you not to. I love how you take what I said and turn it into a personal attack against you. Maybe I do expect too much from people such as you, I mean your kind of attitude is the reason people complain in the first place. It's despicable, lazy and just plain ignorant. Sure I could join a FATE party, but that's just the same as me forcing you to heal me outside of a group. Sure I admit I do need to get over myself, but I'm not the only one that does pal...

Personal rant but, would healers at least remember to heal in FATEs? I just tanked the named fate Go, Go, Gorgimera and got hit by one of his attacks half my health gone. I was on this half health for a good long period of the fight and not a single heal was thrown my way. Sure enough due to latency I got hit by another of his attacks and down I go, the train proceeds to finish the boss off and leave all the dead people behind. Oh and I got a silver, was there from the start and tanked him the whole time.

TLDR: Heal your tanks please? Not all of us are terrible like the ones you find in duty finder.

Too much hassle. Not enough care. Learn to Home Point, it'll make your life easier. Why wouldn't you anyway? You'll make enough gil to Teleport home later once you're done grinding. Stop trying to be a victim and complain about other people because you didn't prepare ahead of time. Fates are to PARTICIPATE together, not WORK TOGETHER like Dungeons.

Personally, unless it's a Behe/Odin FATE, I don't party, but I also won't tank the boss. Tanking isn't necessary for gold, sure I love tanking, but I also like staying alive I'll assume that whoever runs in to tank has a party (healer) to back them up and/or knows what they're getting into. Sure, I'll do my damage, but if I notice that I'm about to steal aggro, I'll slow down or switch abilities (or at least hit him with a DoT- Circle of Scorn anyone?) because there are no guarantees that I'll be healed when I'm alone. I run into every FATE I solo expecting no heals or support because, you know, I'm not in a party.

When on cnj (for paladin), the healing-reward system (or lack thereof) that FATEs seemed to have annoyed me a bit, but I dealt with it by changing my "FATE-ing" style. While leveling I tried to keep an Aero/other DoT going on the boss, and healed basically anyone I saw with low health (nothing too fancy). However, sometimes I just said "screw it" because I really just wanted to finish cnj (DoM is just not my thing) so I was focused on gold. Other times I didn't heal (but raised after battle) because someone not in a party but desperate for claims would pull more than they could handle, and I knew the minute I healed them and they died, my squishy ass would be next.

TL;DR: I prefer to solo fates as a tank, but I have to deal with the consequences of that choice and change my FATE-style accordingly. I understand your sentiment, I really do, but whether or not you hate it that's how FATEs are, you just have to deal with it or do a quick "tank lf fate" so you can tank it.

I throw just one Stone or Aero at a mob and spam Medica, I get gold no matter what.

If you're willing to tank a notorious monster in a fate, and you're not in a party, then don't get mad if no one heals you. Remember, these are people that have no connection to you, they could careless and honestly, they're not required to heal or revive you. If you want to tank in fates, and expect heals, then join a party. I see no reason as to why a healer should sacrifice rewards to heal or revive someone. It's nice when they do, but NEVER expect it.

Yea, thats what i do, usually i can tank the fate boss if i wanted to, But i never use emnity moves as to not get aggro.
These idiots in fates wont heal me, i wont tank, ill just watch and laugh when idiot dps and healers run around like headless chickens , die, boss goes to the next idiot, they die, haha..

They want to play solo, go your hardest, im making sure i look out for number one, ME, you guys all seem to not care....

As a SCH i loved joining groups once i got to do the higher level FATEs such as Go Go and DD. During all my FATE grinding, i always got Gold, and all i did was spam cures and have Eos do the same. I am a little lost on the OP point, they are complaining that no one is healing them or raising them? Granted, after Go Go is over, i always stick around to make sure there are no dead left. I will raise everyone i can find once the battle is over, BUT, if i am in a party, those members are my priority, not the lone tank or dps running around the battlefield.
I can understand half of your point, anyone who can raise, should be doing so after the battle, just common curtsy. But, i am in no obligation to cure you during a fight. Now if i am doing FATEs as a solo low-level CNJ and i see a GLA or MAR tanking a big mob during a FATE, sure, i will cure them and keep them alive, why? because if they go down, the mob will turn on me and i will go down.

And this is the attitude that is killing the mmorpg scene. The selfish, self centered attitude. As if partying up in your average Fate is a 100% possibility. As a healer, I always look for people getting wailed on and heal them. Why not? I'm not required to do it, but I've never needed a reason to be helpful.
