As a follow-up to my previous post about hair that is hidden when wearing hats, Takeo Suzuki has provided the below comment in regards to recent developments.

With the implementation of the beauty salon in patch 2.1, we revamped all the hairstyles with the character team and it looks like they were able to address the below issue. This will be reflected in patch 2.1.
(This hairstyle will be addressed for all races.)



By the way, just to clue you in as to how the development decides whether or not to hide hair, they follow the below policy:
  • Hair on the side is hidden when bangs contain a lot of volume
  • The features shown should be reflected the same way for all races

Actually, development cost-wise, it costs more to create shapes to properly fit hats than it does to hide them, but the hair styles that are to be added in the future will also follow this policy. We will also be addressing hair with a lower volume so it is displayed appropriately.
