Gonna have to stand on the elitist side of the fence here too, yeah. Normally I'd agree that people are kinda being unreasonable about their gear demands (AK gear is more than enough to speed run CM and Prae, past a point you're only shaving seconds off, not minutes), but the whole "omg these people are hardcore they are a plague on our game" attitude makes me WANT to side with the hardcore elitists.
Let people play how they want.
If you're not happy, make your own groups, your own FC, your own Linkshells.
If you can apply the "lol let all the elitist jerks play amongst themselves like a circle jerk" logic to this, then I say the counter logic of "lol let all the undergeared whine factories play amongst themselves like a circle jerk" is just as applicable. Won't you be doing the exact same thing? Grouping up based on gear, complaining about the other gear demographics?
Come on, this is a joke.
Play how you want. Let others play how they want.
Don't force yourself on them, and they won't force themselves on you. If you don't like someone's grouping requirements, don't group with them. Make your own group or wait for another one to pop up.
How does somebody elses high standards affect you? There are plenty of CM / AK / Garuda / Titan groups you can get into without top tier gear. It would be one thing if you couldn't use DF and the ONLY groups running were people with high standards but guess what? You have plenty of options. You can use Duty Finder to get all the gear you need. You can use Duty Finder to get practice on Titan. You can start your own groups. You can join a FC which is near your 'level' of play.
This whole thread is based on "STOP LIKING WHAT I DONT LIKE". Get over it and get over yourself. No one has to pander to YOU. YOU are not special, and neither is everyone else. We're all just... different. So you can either accept diversity and laugh at the guys running CM /w a relic requirement, or you can earn your relic and go do CM in 15 minutes with them.
If you're going to quit the game because SOME players have too high standards for you, then I pity you.
Someone won't play video games with you, and now you're upset? The game is ruined for EVERYONE? Grow up.
Everyone is free to choose their own party for their own reasons, yourself included.
People want crazy geared people for CM because in a full relic group it's 25 minutes maybe to run it.
Lucky for us DPS DF CM ques are 10-11 minutes only and most of the time they don't fail.
Some people like playing with people of equal gear, that's ok their are people without end game gear you can play with.
Asking for a relic to run Speed Runs is more of a "If you killed Titan you must at least have some idea how to play the game", of course people who buy it are an exception but few and far between. I'll be honest, I'm an elitist, I don't want to sit in a farm dungeon for an hour while 1 person stands in a huge red circle or giant purple pool EVERY fight; taking someone who can't spend 10 minutes reading a guide or can't be bothered to react to AoEs is like taking a 8 year old to play in an adult softball league...it won't end up well. If you don't like it then don't join those groups? Or is someone forcing you to play with us nasty elitists?

People like to play with other players who are on the same page as them. Most of them probably help their friends and FC members with story mode and sub-50 content, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to get a farming party going - when you need like 11 CM runs to get a single piece of ilvl 70 crafted gear, it can mean the difference of an entire week's playtime for some people.
I'm glad my static is full relic+1.
