Clearly this game does not meet your expectations then. Nothing left to do but leave I suppose, sorry to say.So for two months we are supposed to only run one 4 man dungeon and or a raid with lock out timers? Sorry, that's pretty lean when compared to most MMOs these days. I would have expected to see at least 5 lvl 50 dungeons with HM versions: that would be more than enough things to do and keep people occupied. But 1 dungeon and 1 raid for 2+ months is not going to cut it, there should be more than that sorry to say. End game here is boiling down to: do AK enough times to cap mythos and then log off for the week. Is that really worth 15 bucks a month? Meh.
This is something people have brought up in every single mediocre MMO I have ever played over the past 30 years. Yes, maybe I should quit but do you really think SE wants that? I think they want this game to be successful instead of ending up in the F2P trash bin like most MMOs end up doing these days mostly to do with inferior/sub par end game. On the plus side there is indeed hope out there, GW2 is a good example of a company that seems to take their product very seriously and have the passion/dedication to go that extra mile. If it had trinity I would not even have tried FF 14 ARR so yea.![]()

You mean the company that:
- did a 180 degree turn on what they sold the game on by slapping vertical stated gear progression in, available through a single means within a few months of launch.
- spent years selling GW2 on e-sports, then launched without even the basic features for that (proper matchmaking, rankings, scrim servers, observer modes, etc), and then even when they eventually got round to putting them in 10 months later, they were lazy, poorly designed failures.
- added a WvW system on a game engine that is not up to it.
- that has such dedication, 7 months in there were still literally hundreds of bugs with class skills & traits.
- that constantly ignored alpha testers when they pointed out major issues
Anet were once known as good company, that is no longer case.
Everyone has their opinions; I have nothing bad to say about GW2 since it's entirely b2p and has provided me with well over 2k hours of entertainment so far (best value ever!). Anyways, did my myth run for week so off to do some GW2 content that gets added every 2 weeks or so...I will try to get back into FF14 2 months from now or when ever 2.1 eventually shows up. I paid 3 months sub to not play the game, oh well!

Last time I checked being B2P was not excuse for dishonesty, poor programming, etc, and yes they do add content every 2 weeks, crappy fluff content...Everyone has their opinions; I have nothing bad to say about GW2 since it's entirely b2p and has provided me with well over 2k hours of entertainment so far (best value ever!). oh yes and what I wrote in my previous post other than the last sentence was fact not opinion and the fact you have nothing bad to say about GW2 just shows you lack objectivity.
P.S- Let's hope you don't want to do WvW, because in typical Anet fashion they've broken WvW with today's patch and it has been down for hours.

I will say that GW2 has no trinity and that is main reason why I took the plunge here. I love to heal, GW2 does not offer that.
Any rate, GW2 cost me 60 bucks while FF 14 is 30 bucks + 15 bucks a month for far less content updates (every 2 weeks vs 3+ months). You obviously have a serious chip on your shoulder about GW2 and hate it immensely so there is no need to continue the argument. FF 14 at this time is just another inferior WoW clone with a sub standard/extremely limited end game but that just my opinion so take it as you will. Now feel free to flame me more, I am done for now (seriously this time!).

Not at all, I think GW2 has many good points - a very fluid combat system, lovely graphics, jump puzzles are an interesting addition, it at least launched with PvP unlike this game and gave mass PvP a crack, even though it failed to get it right, it has an excellent interface, etc.
I simply think pointing to Arenanet as an example of a good company, when it is basically guilty of false advertising, is clearly under-resourced in certain areas, and in respects like bug fixing / QA is possibly the worst MMO I've ever played and where people have been complaining about lack of end-game for a year, is laughable.
I agree, the only notable points I can see about FF14 are the crafting, that you can play every class on the same character and the cross class system whilst not unique is a change from the norm, other than that...

I'd say being willing to take a broken game with a damaged name and spending millions on rebuilding it counts as taking "their product very seriously and have the passion/dedication to go that extra mile". I honestly doubt it's possible to satisfy the crowd I see on the forums complaining about a lack of content when all they do is basically burn through everything as quickly as humanly possible anyway. No matter what gets added, these people will just burn through those like locusts and then go back to complaining again until the next cycle comes around. Should there be more contents? Yes. But should they take their time to polish the contents and pace the release to match the game population's progress in general, instead of pumping out sub-par junk every other week just because a few loud and extreme players demand their fix now? Absolutely. And the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, so I honestly don't care for comparisons.
Anyway, back to the game for me. A lot more fun for me than posting here.
