Monks very weak. Need rebalance

Monks are competitive when they can maintain 3xGL and use proper positioning, and don't have to dodge the plethora of anti-melee boss attacks constantly..see: when on a training dummy. Competitive with DPS that stand 25y away and hit 3 buttons disregarding everything else. Just sayin'.

Yeah, stacking grease lighting 3 times, a combo dependent aoe, needing to be in thief positions to keep up, not being able to off tank because your damage isn't potent from the front...There is nothing wrong with the Monk in this game.

Monks are not weak at all. Atm im farming binding coil with full dl/relic+1 and afv2 chest and I have had boss encounters were i was the top damage done. My snap punch crits range between 500-680 depending if i have blood for blood up. The only thing we need is slightly longer buff time on greased lightning and a threat dump.

Figures... the only game i decided NOT to play a monk'ish class, is the one game where it is actually decent xD
Maybe i should try it out... i just fear it will get nerfed to ashes as soon as i touch it.. thats how it have worked in other games.

As i said before Monks complaining abt monks should just reroll. I wouldnt say Monk is perfectly fine but he is very good and does very good damage. I have full Gryphonskin, 1 90 Earring and Relic (not +1) - my best DPS on Dummy was 298, after tons of Titan fights i can tell my DPS at the end is abt 220-240 and for binding coil i was top damage above Dragoon, Bard, Blackmage - though i am only talkin abt 1st and 2nd boss since this was my first ID. Gl should really get a few seconds more but Monk is far far away from being bad.

As all of the other monks said my only complain is the duration of GL.

If you have to move to doge an aoe, and you don't have your charge up you're pretty much screwed and have to stack again

Barb claim they can do 330+ DPS , can you do that? You are about 30% Dmg less than a good bard.

Actually monk has low crits.

My Bard does 700 Misery's ends and 500 Bloodletters. SMN does 1k+ Fester. BLM does 2k+ Flares. DRG does 1k+ Full Thrust etc

I think you are right,monk has lowest crit Dmg internal boost times than other class. with blood blood lvl34 lancer skill under 430+ STR, I barely see some 600+ for 1 hit.

Dude bard might had relic+1 so? Bard wont do 330 either using songs? And do all classes have to be exact at the same dps? I dont think so. And even Bard has 30 dps more, does it make the monk BAD? Are you kidding me or what? U better learn to play before posting shit. And "those" bards doing 330 dps, they must be very rare cuz i never ever seen one with relic +1 even near to 330. Better work on ur rotation bro before crying about other classes and your own. Ah and for the lulz, if i say i do 298 dps and the bard you say is doing 330 - that means i am doing 30 % less damage? Jesus.

It is obvious that monk has the lowest crits and you dont even need to play a monk to know that. And i hope i dont have to explain what makes us compensate the lower crits do i? And btw, dont know ur shitty gear but 600+ isnt rare at all. Maybe your rotation looks like infinite bootshine.
