    There is no delay. The 'delay' that many are thinking they are having is simply due to the animation of the current skill needing to finish first. If you are just auto-attacking and press the 'instant' ability key, I can assure you that it will fire instantly, or as close to instant as your connection will let you.

    For anyone wanting to tell me that stun effects are not instant, I know they are not, that too is due to the animation needing to be played first. It's like expecting water to come out of a tap before you turn the handle. You just have to learn how to use these abilities the way the game works and not the way other games implement them.

    Too much information would go against the anti-"min-max" nature of this game. There is a reason for why there are so few competing stats, that we are not given the actual effect of stats (like exactly how much strength affects parry), etc. Whether or not including animation speeds should be included, may very well be on the wrong side of the line.

    I also thought people were against dumbing down the game? It is evidently dumbing down the game, to spell out that casting time and animation time are not the same.

    No if say you cast something that is supposed to be instant cast but in fact theres a .5 second to 1.0 second animation for the cast it is in fact not instant cast do to the fact you have a .5 to 1 second cast time So the tool tip is in fact wrong do to the fact the animation is now the cast timer... Cause you still have to wait for the animation to finish to use another ability.. Thats the point i was trying to make sorry for the confusion.

    No it doesn't, you need to manage your skills better. You need to anticipate if and when you need to use your off-CD abilities, I'm sorry if this is too difficult for you, but the devs have no plans to change this.

    Off topic. The thread you quote complains about waiting a little time between skills, like a hidden cooldown. The problem here is the time between entering the command and starting the animation, like a delay. And it happens even if it's the only skills you're using.

    I never come across anything like that delay you mention unless my internet is slow. People are most likely hammering the skill keys constantly and expecting it to ignore the GCD and fire off anyway.

    Are some people really arguing if the said abilities or spells are suppose to be instant lol? "No where does it say it will take effect Instantly." Really? Does your food say it won't poison you and kill you? Of course it's meant to be "INSTANT"! That's why it's labeled as INSTANT!!!!!

    I will have to say, this community is fantastic. Anything negative towards the game @ all. And people are like "Good gtfo then! And good riddence!" Way to make the game look even better people. Not sure why people had to be negative on an already negative thread.

    You mean like how you can pop a leg sweep and rotate around a mob and it will rotate with you for another second? /facepalm
