Mayhaps you can try to get a shout group going on? Hit Mor Dhona, shout for a group specifically to complete CM and the following dungeon for the story. Get your FC members if possible too!

I personally was lucky enough to do it with my FC (I did stay up until the sun rose for that given we're in different timezones), and I never have speedran that either. I promise you, it's a true disservice to the very dungeons to speedrun CM and the one after.

Just... Have hope, and put up some shouts! Mayhaps even make a thread in the Diablos forum to try to get a group for just a one-time run going, it's worth it.

Only need one good tank and healer to thwart a single tank or healer from saying no :P

Of course if you own both the tanks or healers then you own the whole run lol.

I understand. I can solo heal it, but most people do not know that especially if you only run it in the DF. I usually run it with another healer and one of us will go Cleric Stance if in the DF and we will both not heal them.

They wanted to experience both the cutscenes and the actual fighting- that is the problem. (Watch the cutscenes then you dont get to do the fights, do the fights and then you cant do the cutscenes)

Which I could see only being fixed by separating new from not new players or by forcing the cutscenes and locking player movement till over. As said in my post a page ago I think SE could easily force the cutscenes without too much duress since they are adding a benefit to helping new players do these contents. (Therefore it may take longer but more points also, so roughly your run is still a decent rate of time per stone).

Being both of the priority classes definitely gives more voting power :P. I always go a healer if the group im queueing in isnt full, DF is a democracy of tanks and healers- no one cares about the DD hehe.

You could do that in the duty finder (what you are saying I think), I said a page ago there should be a vote skip option - I suppose the benefit for doing it before joining is less likely to have leavers. But it would also increase the time the DF has to think / organize people. Either or though.

You know what would help is if the moment you're put into a DF party and hit confirm it teleports you into a holding room with the rest of your party. Timer doesn't start, nothing. It's here you can make quick preparations, talk about strategy for those new, or even change the job you're going in as if another party member is better equipped/suited for the role. You have a max limit of 5 minutes (Which can be toggled on or off by a vote. In the event a video needs to be watched and the party is patient enough to let it.) in this holding room before it auto-teleports you into the dungeon and it begins. But the point of this room would be for people to gather up and have a quick plan of attack made. Won't solve every issue but should help in preparations and less surprises. I can't help but wonder why they didn't implement this at the start...

Speed run in itself has Pre-requites, that people know the dungeon and are geared, DF in esscence will not give you that. It stands to all logic that it should then be up to speed-runners to form a group to fullfill the requirements. Otherwise expect new comers, SC watchers, etc. When I use DF I absolutley expect to have SC watchers and perfectly fine with that as it was my choice to use DF for a speed run and DF was obviously not built for nor is it optimal for that.

The reality is unfortunatley DF will be plauged with toxics who in no way could form a group beyond thier other two toxic friends if that for the most part. Those affect both decent people on speed runs and first timers.

Once you actually do it a couple of times, you will understand where these people are coming from.

If you don't like the conditions put up by the group - make your own. Your complaint is absolutely unjustified.
Shout for some people who want to watch the cutscenes on your servers. If people want to speed run it's their choice and there is nothing wrong with that.

The problem with this is that I can look at the reality of the situation. From my experience trying to get groups together the lower-level dungeons and the time I've spent in Mor Dhona and other high-level areas while I was leveling, it's going to be incredibly difficult and time-consuming to get a group together by shouting to get a group together for something like that. People either jump straight onto Duty Finder, or—if they're avoiding that (which they should be from a reliability standpoint for their own sake)—they're getting groups together for Hard Mode Primals and speed-runs.

Not once have I seen someone shout for a group to run the dungeon casually. It's because it won't work. I'm well aware of that.

This community is really bad but there is not much you can do about it. Most people playing this game are douches, I know because I too have encountered many DF runs where first timers are around and there is always those idiots who doesn't care about your first time. All they see is darklight. Everytime I am in a CM party, I will call out those who try to force first timer to skip. I will call them ADHD kids, I will call them idiots and I will call them whatever names I can think of the time. Often they leave the CS watcher alone and focus on bashing me instead so it works quite well. Almost everytime it is me and the CS watcher versus 6 other idiots who are there to ruin first timers immersion and fun. I will wait for the first timer everytime there is a cutscene so the first timer knows where to go when CS is over. 6 other people can rush all they wan't so message me if you are on Hyperion doing your first CM run. I will come with you and fight with you against this poisoned community if you message me. I am one piece short on full darklight but I still need to run quite many times to get my other class geared so I will be there defending you guys for a quite some time.
