people are so sentitive in this game, its ridiculous.

I have yet to have anyone yell at me, for being new. I did accidently pull some trash because i didn't know the group returned to get back to an earlier part of the dungeon. then they asked if I was new, and in reply I did say I was new, and the told me that they used return to get back faster, and one guy said he was sorry for not telling me.
Also on my last story dungeon, we had 6 new people and 2 people who ran before, and to be honest, we didn't wipe once. Though we did have some people getting mad for being locked out, one time one person was in a cut scene, the next time two people we're locked out, because one of the tanks pulled early, but we all did great, no one yelled at each other for being new, even the 2 people who have done the dungeon before helped us out a bit by teaching us the ropes.
Nobody likes to be told what to do, in today's society it makes the person feel weak and want to attack you. But you went and toppled over the BLM anyway without asking if you could offer advice beyond the initial question. You're just as toxic, it's the way atoms work.

I only have had one experience with a rude player. My 1st Qarn run, I say I am new. Everything is going fine until 1st boss. We wipe a few times, we die twice, And the healer starts yelling at me: "What's your problem?!!!!!!" I reply that I apologize, I am new and learning the fight. He replies, "IT IS EASY!!! HOW CAN YOU DIE ON THIS BOSS?????" the rest of the party asks the guy to calm down. He proceeds to scream and rage. By this point, I am done being nice, I had explained my case but the guy wasn't hearing it. I say, "U mad bro?" He exclaims "YEA I AM MAD CAUSE YOU SUCK AND WE KEEP DYING!" I target him and /clap. He leaves. We get a replacement and proceed to have a good run(but due to the time that the drama took we didn't finish).

So she has to grovel before him? The guy is rude as ever. If I ran Qarn now and I had someone who was new you bet I will explain how things work. If they don't like my aiding them then there's the door. Put pride aside be a man an accept your faults.
Offering help is always a slippery slope you can't be sure of how sensitive some one might be. I still think it is a good quality in a person to offer help, even though there are chances you might get bitten.
Also, not everyone reads external "how to's" before doing content for the first time. Some people like to experience the game first hand before using external guides or wikis. I will never count it against some one who does not first go outside the game for walkthrough when playing a game that does not specifically require it in the directions.

No, asking someone if they new is not a problem, how you ask is the problem. I look at the original post and I have a problem with how it is worded. Clearly what you did was a gear check. You say they have so and so gear. Then you ask was they new, they didnt answer but you didnt leave it at that nope. You just had to keep asking to you got an answer and that is giving someone the third degree. As a tank I dont try to explain anything about a fight or how Im going to do it until we all standing at the boss fight and always start out this is how I going to do the fight and this is what I want you to do, and then ask if anyone have a better idea if not lets keep it moving.
Doesn't really change the fact that they're out there though, which makes it sort of a gamble to whether you encounter them and how frequently it happens. I've encountered them, and they're typically the same sort of people that leave groups immediately because of that fact or because a party comp is not the absolute best (or because they're just stupid). For example on that last part, someone leaving because there's no BLM in an Ifrit HM fight... but there is a SMN.
Personally, the majority of people I've met don't mind new players. Most of the time, we lead in with "anyone new here?" and if no answer, then we go with "it's important to know what to do for this fight that's why". It usually works out.

I was once to told to use "cool downs" which I have no idea what it means till someone explains its all your skills that gives beneficial buffs.I think I would have left just knowing the guy was wearing level 30 gear. There's no way they would have been able to meet the DPS requirements for Demon Wall and my time is more valuable than to get that far just to find out either way.
Trash = non-boss monsters located inside of dungeons.
Wipe = entire group dying.
