What is wrong with Cross over from other Final Fantasy Franchise? As long as it not silly like Kingdom Heart and Mickey Mouse then I'm fine with that. They also mention they won't add anything silly or over the top like Cloud and Sephiroth because they know there is too many fans would be upset since this characters are so popular and have huge impact on fans.

emmm... i was making a point in the form of a sarcastic joke.
let me explain

people complain about crossovers ruining lore when atomos has been around since like forever. making it the gateway between FF dimensions, space time and the void.. so.. people that dont know much about FF lore complain about lore.. they must go to SE and destroy atomos lore in order to have a valid argument.

Yoshi has stated that there will be plot explanations for this in both FFXIV:ARR and FFXIII:LR, so it won't necessarily be cheap marketing ploy in regards to game lore (even if it is IRL)

Personally, I could really care less about this. I didn't care for FFXIII at all, not the world, not the characters, not the plot. But apparently Lightning is a big hit in Japan, so more power to them.

I kept up with info until Beta. Having playable ads for other SE games disguised as Fates is not what fan service is about. And real fans wouldn't want these crossovers because this game is a numbered Final Fantasy. Crossovers should stay on the non-numbered Final Fantasy titles like Dissidia. (Except Gilgamesh who is supposed to be a crossover character) You're sounding a lot like White Horse Cavendish.
