I can only agree when it comes to inventory management and space. Even old games like EQ2 had item overflow.

Sure, I could accept this back in the days of Everquest and Dark age of Camelot. However, times have changed, and mostly for the better.

Pretty much every other mmo out there today has improved the way inventory and UI works. Many of these are F2P. Why shouldn't I expect a premium game like FFXIV to be at least as good as the free competitors?
Limitations are fine if they are explicitly designed for a specific purpose. Statements akin to "We don't think it's needed" don't cut it.

Really guys? Storage space is not a problem in this game -- just pay attention!

It's not about storage space but about item management which is tedious, clunky and a real time sink; there are god knows how many unnecessary steps and confirmation prompts, and it's impossible to display all tabs simultaneously. General response time between all these steps is just painful. Just to name a few limitations unworthy of a 2010's RPG. Storage space is very good indeed, but how you deal with it makes it so much more complicated than any other MMORPG I've played in a decade.

So what? This is not other games...this is a game that allows you to have every proff/class on 1 character. I have 9 tools/offhands for crafting and then my weapons...then the lower level ones for my alts who are lower level...etc etc etc....This game has far more things to save than any other game.

Also, there is no where that I have seen that tells you that your item will be destroyed if your inventory is full...Is that good interface NO. So what if it tells me my inv has x spaces left... so what...How about a message saying "your inventory is full what would you like to throw away."

Inventory is fine for me. Apparently some people have an issue with this but I think that some people just look at items wrong.. Here, let me give out how I see things:

We are fortunate enough that Eorzea will NEVER run out of items and has an unlimited surplus of goodies waiting to be obtained. Sure, some may be hard to get at times but the game never ever runs out. It is like the greatest storage space ever created..

So, try to think of Eorzea as your infinite storage bag, when you need something then go out and get it. When you have used up what you got then go get some more. The world really isn't going to run out of items anytime soon.

.. and as a person with a 45whm/all other classes 15+.. and has all doh/dol 25-30.. I have zero items stored in my retainers and only using up 40ish slots in my inventory. But I have millions of items stored out in the world..

You don't seem to understand what "QQ" means, although far be it from me to try and educate you on internet lingo seeing as the most reliable source of definitions we have is urban dictionary.

I just find it hilarious that you say "this is 2013" like that's supposed to mean something, what are we, in some magical future land where all of you petty desires are solved by advanced technology?
    Grow up kid
There's a time and a place to demand better of someone or something, but the fact that an item you wanted disappeared because you forgot to clear out your inventory, isn't one of them.

and if you want more proof just look at this thread, the majority of responses are people who don't have a problem with it.
and I'm sorry but "They're just being white knights" isn't a viable response.
Yes the majority may not always be right, but that doesn't mean they are always wrong either.
Ofcourse what do I know? probably not much more than you. But hey at least I'm enjoying the game.

The market is my infinite retainer. All the cheap stuff I sell them, and then buy them back when I need them for crafting.

    Armoire is too limited.

The only things that seem to go in is job af gear. Is there no way of implementing darklight gear, myth gear, primal weapons etc to also be placed into this big chest since they are alot harder to achieve and too delicate to throw due to space. Also i have noticed when the special events came, not all the stuff fitted into the armoire, only some. Is this a mistake?

This is nuts. We're talking about an easily implemented feature which could save a lot of trouble for a ton of people.

I'm crafting with a bunch of materials while waiting for a dungeon pop, my inventory is nearly full. I get the pop, switch and do my dungeon. Oh no I get punished for trying to spend my time wisely?

If you people weren't so busy trying to appear so high and mighty and above everyone because you can keep your eye on your inventory count you'd see how basic a feature this is. Nobody cares that you can count inventory boxes, think of the convenience. I'm pretty sure society is heading towards that conclusion in general and you're all insisting that we stay stuck in progress.

Take WoW or Tera or even PoE -- All games which either mail it to you or let it sit on the ground til you pick it up.

Silly to argue about space like this. While I agree that you should have a warning before an item is destroyed that allows you to throw away something. Everyone plays different. I am a multi tasker. I mean running around harvesting for something I need to craft and then I see a bunch of diremites someone is not killing (which is rare) and I need to jump over to adventuring and get the much needed hard to get dire stuff. I have a job and my play time is limited and travel is very expensive in this game. We should not be penalized for how we play. Some may be all logical and practical and plan to the max while others are just cramming in as much as they can at the moments they can. Vanguard had great amounts of space and it was so wonderful for crafting, I am not comparing the over all game of Vanguard of course. This game allows you to be very craft oriented if you choose.
