It's called the United States of America. Some people shorten the name to America. Sure, America can refer to the continents as well. Most people can figure it out from context. Just FYI
Lol that's an awesome sig man..
Its no secret Americans are vocal, we say what we think and every one of us feels our opinions should matter. That's how we were raised though, to speak our minds and not hold back because of how others might react, I think with all the PC stuff going on in this country we have forgotten this somewhat, and are slowly becoming a very timid and silent nation.
We may be vocal, and sometimes annoying, but we are like this because we were told as children we have a right to our own belief's. That we should never be afraid to speak our minds. That comes with a lot of grief from less than mature people, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
Because you're whining.I never meant to generalize anyone, if you read my post I'm asking why people do generalize American's for whining, or other things included in my post, not all of us do it. Not everyone in here is generalizing either, I don't understand why you posted if your not going to accurately read.
Glory to Mankind
It's often easier to bash North American people because it's dominated by only 3 countries (Canada, United-States and Mexico), the rest being what I used to callCentral America (due to school and cultural differences). Considering US and Canada are mostly English-speaking people (at least as far as official language goes), it's very easy to put everyone in the same bag. Try that with Europe where you can travel across a few countries within the same day and official languages may vary greatly from a country to the next (Latin-based to Greek-based for instance).
More so, but this is only a personal guess, I'd say the amount of youngsters/job-less players is higher for North Americans, because computer hardware and Internet is easily and cheaply available. Not that these players are to blame, or that maturity can be calculated by age for that matter, but it does create a rather unique player pool with a lot of extremes. I'd go as far to say that North American player pool is one of the largest that is culturally similar enough. Therefore, you get more good people, but also more bad ones.

Do you regularly hear Canadians and mexicans refer to themselves/called "Americans"? I certainly don't.
Because those 12 year olds will be representative of us in a couple of years and perhaps even comprise of the new majority and sadly not all of them will simply grow out of it. I hate to admit it but why does a generalization exist if it's not at least partially true in some way? Rather than pretend the flaws listed in the generalizations don't exist we should be proactively seeking to quash them.
Those damn Roegadyn...whoops...

And this is the difference between Americans and the rest of the world, in America if you complain about something you are automatically a whiner, the word to whine is that of what a child does when they can't have their own way.
These forums are really bad for pinning whiner on to someone when they have a valid complaint or opinion.

I agree with you, that's why I do my best to help and be a nice player / community member! ^.^ Like I earlier said, we don't choose where we war born, I feel if more people just tried to be nice, the game experience would be better for everyone.Because those 12 year olds will be representative of us in a couple of years and perhaps even comprise of the new majority and sadly not all of them will simply grow out of it.
