Gah! Face palm. I'm not trying to draw anyone into pointless arguments here, but, at best, it evens out. There's no "freebies"! Gah! That makes it sound like SquareEnix is doing us a favour. We're still running around the long way so that our beloved friend SquareEnix doesn't look stupid.

This is all amidst a wide, clean, clear canvas of a successful relaunch. The game has really been not that bad. I would still like to play again sometime soon. But that canvas is getting so speckled. It's really getting hard to see a worthy product with all this shit flying around. This one just hit me in the face is all. And it stinks.

Actually. The Timecards needs to be released in US. UGC only does 10 and 20 or 50 I believe, you have no choice but to 20 dollar it.
We can all agree SE is just...bad at handling things on here it's ridiculous. I'm fixin' to put this at #1 worst company for MMO's.

ultimate game cards give you crysta. You get 20 dollars worth of crysta with that 20 dollar card. You then spend 12.99 dollars worth of crysta on the sub, anad have 7.01 dollars worth of crysta left over. You don't magically lose that extra 7.01 dollars worth of crysta.

However if I want to buy another month after the first one, I would only have $7.01 dollars, and so I would need to buy yet another $20 card in order to purchase enough Crysta for the second month giving me $27.01. Then I spend the $12.99 and I am left with $14.02. Now on the 3rd month I re-sub, I will be left with only $1.03. So it would be time to spend $20 again. - I would never break even, and there is nothing else for me to spend Crysta on (for FFXIV). So eventually when I decide to stop playing, I will have some amount of wasted money left over. Hence, paying $20 dollars for a month of service that costs 12.99 is NOT a FIX to the problem. But go ahead and do the math to figure out how many years of service I need to buy to break even. As frustrated as I am by not being able to pay, I could use some more idiocy to make me laugh and lighten my mood. Thanks.

I fail to see what you are trying to accomplish. The money left over is used for the next month. So unless you throw a fit and quit, (Which seems to be the case anyway) you still are paying for what you use regardless. The service sucks, we get it. To sit there and (stomp, scream, whatever else you're doing over there) throw yet another fit about a fix, which works mind you, is the "idiocy" you are speaking of. Take that moment and laugh at yourself now.

On topic: It works. Takes 5 minutes of your time to do. The service sucks, stop beating the horse. Do it or shut up about it being cheap, etc. If you want to wait, then wait. But there is no point in throwing fits about something that can have you playing in 5 minutes.

Yes. You're failing to see what he's trying to accomplish. And, yes, I am laughing at myself a little bit. But this is the world now. This is how these systems work. It's called having a voice. The people who gave me the problem (relatively minor though it may be), won't let me speak to them. When I try, they ignore me and I'm presently sitting on a two day old apparently useless time ticket. What's more, it seems they don't really care. So, I'm going to come on here and complain, see if others are also complaining, and then complain some more alongside them. Why? Because if nothing else, this is one way to be heard. It's quite frustrating when it seems like such a simple problem, but you have no one to tell. And sometimes, you just have to say the same thing over and over again until you get bored of it, which I will. And am. So, I'll leave. Soon. You like the game, you pay for it. Simple. You may or may not get that money back, but if you enjoy the game, you will eat the expense. Will it suck? Sure. But I still like the game enough to jump through the hoops that allow me to play. Does not mean I will stop throwing a fit over not being able to use my card though (In the correct thread. Unlike some people here.).

Well now, you are right! In my defense, I was trying to launch a "formal protest", but on your advice, I go to see this "sticky thread" and there it is. Mud is on my face. At least it's not the shit from before.

I also have to take a second to praise SquareEnix for making a statement. They're still saying it's all our fault, but who knows, maybe it is. Hopefully, I can actually find a solution with them and get back to giving them my money and playing FFXIV!

This solution does NOT work for all countries. Australia for instance does not deal in Crysta last I heard.
Some people have no choice but to pay with a credit card. A card that is getting knocked back with errors.
Errors which Square Enix refuse to acknowledge or fix.
