Threads starting to sound like my Tech Support job.

I'll be honest here this is the first game I've ever gotten the collectors edition for, also the first game i have ever read forums in. I was huge into ToR and WoW, but never did I actualy go on the forums. But this game i decided to peruse the forums and now I do on a daily basis, and about 90% of what I have seen has been whining.

I'm pretty sure this game will tank after the first few months are over with the sheer amount of people who are apparently dealing with "game breaking" issues. Non of which I have personaly expierence, but the way people Are whining about it just reminds me of my job, when angry clients call in cause things are not going thier way and dont understand the amount of time it takes to make a change on a large system. I work for target so thats a system as big as they come.

Just seems like now that companies are actualy listening to thier customers, were entering an age where nothing isnt good enough anymore. Remember when FF first came out? we were satisfied with the low detail sprites who didnt even have personal names. Now were this far and hearing complaints cause the game "Sacrificed alot for the PS3 audiance" and other useless things. I'm curious as to anyones thoughts on this. Lets see who gets offensive first, I already failed with my whining comment.

Thanks for speaking up as a new player. *hands Gauntduo a hard hat* get read to be called a "white knight" (whatever that means), "stupid", "not seeing the whole picture", "a SE fan boy" or be asked how much SE paid you off. I hope you have a fun time in game regardless of the whiners.

tell me about it, i posted a solution to the titan issue that everyone is whining about and people just ignore it, then a few posts later people keep saying that those disagreeing are "white knights". just because i actually look for a solution to a problem doesnt make me a white knight.

i enjoy the game and i know it has flaws too so i think people on both sides need to calm down a bit.

I fix peoples cars. I feel your pain. From idiots waiting for timing belt jobs and complaining about how long it is taking, to clowns who can't even put air in their own tires. You know what, if you think you can do it better and faster than me, than go fix your own car. In that same regard, if you think you can do it better and faster than SE, than go make your own damned MMORPG.

Dude, I honestly agree with you. I've been trying for years to figure out this mentality and I just can't. I know I'm not contributing to the discussion much with this post, but wanted to chime in that you are not alone.

I'm afraid that it's you who doesn't see the whole picture, I find OPs post and your post a bit naive.
Which you can easily translate into not being very observant.
That pretty much sums it up more than any long winded explanation I can give.
But lets keep it on that the gaming industry is a very different beast in general.

As for unreasonable requests, when you take calculations,pre emptive measures along with proper management into account a lot of requests aren't unreasonable.
They simply point out that you as company didn't thought ahead.
Of course the guy below is going to get all the flak but that isn't something new.
