Yesterday, someone asked in my linkshell if anyone wanted to do Garuda Hard Mode. My response was, "sounds good, how are you geared?" When they said full AF, I advised them to start running Wanderer's Palace and Ifrit as they were not even remotely geared for the fight.

So why is this attitude prevalent in the game's early stages, why are people overshooting what they can do, and what exactly should people be doing once they ding that magical level 50?

This post, or series of posts depending on limitations, is going to explain my opinion on this mentality and the one true endgame progression guide, or at least how I perceive SE intending it to be.
You were wrong.....it's as simple as that.

A FC member came on and asked if anyone wanted to try the content with him.....that doesn't mean beating the content.

I feel sorry for you XyleHarkyn if you're not interested in doing content with FC members simply for the sake of doing content regardless if you can beat it or not. The entire point of playing an mmo is to be part of an online community that does things together....if that's not what your doing then why play MMO's at all?
