It just....sadly....only served to buy time. Oh well. **** happens. You have to play the game in realtime. If you spend all your time preparing to have fun, you'll never actually do it. Those NMs were fun while they lasted.

Still, I agree. That gear should have been much better. The R35 gear blows half of it out of the water if you're not tanking, and can be soloed and duo'd. The faction NMs have ten times the cost and require twice the stopping power. I'm 1/7 on faction gear. I have better drop rate on prince of pestilence.

I think the first-gen NMs are just meant to be forgotten. Shame, really. At this point, I'd save my faction points up as opposed to blowing them on small chances at gimp gear...but it caps at 1000 points.

I couldn't agree more.
Honestly, I hope this materia is everything I'm hoping it is, and rectifies the situation regarding gear. I'm also hoping all gear/stat relationships will be redone (MIND on Mossy Scale Mail? what?).

As they are now, all these random STR, MND, etc buffs don't seem to do anything. It's kind of sad working on all this gear, only to find its the same as supposedly inferior pieces.

I hope Yoshi doesn't put the people who've been playing since Day 1 (or.... Day 7?) in the backseat in favor of people just starting (or in the middle of it) the game. There should be a good ratio of new/endgame content.
