Ok fair enough. What I mean is, drops from NMs should be better than items we can easily get through crafting..
As for stats not working, well that's for them to fix.

On topic: I realised that some classes are also lacking gear compared to others, such as Pug getting fewer equips compared with gladiator. Perhaps more variety of NM drops or changing NM gear so more classes can use them efficiently...?

Perhaps SE decided Pug is a lame tank anyways lets just give them no gear, they may also be making new NM's which will have Pug gear. He's gifted for horsing around. Please try to avoid those senseless banter he produces.

a healer and a DD can duo almost all if not all nms in the mid 30ies pretty easy (at least i did a lot of them duo in my 30ies con + mrd friend). They are loleasy imo, well but FFXIV is the easiest mmo on the market in its current state.I kinda agree, faction and hnm drops are kind of disappointing stat-wise.
BUT, mid-level nm aren't easy at all, at 30-40, alas the level they are aimed. Obliusly if you zerg it with 5 50 they appear too easy. And since they aren't 100% drop, the quality of the items is hightly justified. Instead a gimp, i would rather see a stat upgrade on craftable items
I call shenanigans. Slippery Sykes, Queen Bolete and Nest Commander I'll allow. Daddy Long Legs, Cactaur Jack, Bardi and most others? not a chance.

Part of almost any MMO is the addition of new gear which makes old gear obsolete.
When the dungeon and raids are added the current gear will be made even more obsolete anyway, its just the way things work, when they raise the rank cap all the time and effort you put in will mean very little because you will be able to get new craftable gear which outclasses the rank 50 stuff.
Rank 30 gear may have better damage stats than some of the rank 50 stuff but as we all know the stats gained from armour mean almost nothing in this game. (at least until they fix it)
I know the Owl Bow is a peice of shit compared to crafted bows so *shrugs*
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
The initial NMs were panic installments of a floundering team. We can only hope that they have heavy materia slots, if there even is such a thing. Otherwise, yes. None of the first generation of NM gear will end up being relevant, as "hard" as it was to get. Every time the team wants to go kill mosshorn I'm like silently...why? Zero point. Unless we're just that bored with other NMs, which we honestly are.
It just....sadly....only served to buy time. Oh well. **** happens. You have to play the game in realtime. If you spend all your time preparing to have fun, you'll never actually do it. Those NMs were fun while they lasted.
Still, I agree. That gear should have been much better. The R35 gear blows half of it out of the water if you're not tanking, and can be soloed and duo'd. The faction NMs have ten times the cost and require twice the stopping power. I'm 1/7 on faction gear. I have better drop rate on prince of pestilence.
I think the first-gen NMs are just meant to be forgotten. Shame, really. At this point, I'd save my faction points up as opposed to blowing them on small chances at gimp gear...but it caps at 1000 points.
