This Game is LINEAR as HELL

You're at lvl 50 and it's only been 3 weeks. What did you think was gonna happen? If you're gonna quit, then quit. It sucks that you're bored but you don't have anything left to do. I'm at level 25 and I slowly build up my crafting and gathering skills for goldsmithing and it seems like there is too much for me to do. i'm enjoying the game by pacing myself and taking breaks. You clearly need one mister level 50 dragoon.

Linear can be applied to multiple things. Linear can mean "linear maps", "linear combat/strategy", or even "linear progression". FFXIV has the last one, and arguably the second last one if we are talking about gear choices.

Heal spells are WORTHLESS, at lvl 41, I heal myself for 150! Out of 2400 health, I heal myself for 152 health points. And that is if my heal doesn't get interrupted. Foresight is OK, but it doesn't last long and has a long recast. And 20% damage reduction really isn't much. NO OTHER USEFUL SKILLS.

PLD is my main class, and on Titan HM you'll find that cure is actually very useful. Topping yourself up right before/after upheaval, spam healing the lowest hp whm during late stomps... or even yourself if you go into stomps low on hp. More than enough to make the difference between death and living. Having access to raise is also situationally quite useful.

Tanking is a numbers game. The dfifference between DL Shield (ilvl 55) and relic +1 is only about 5-6% per block. So if foresight makes you take 2-3% less damage.. that's half a +1 relic. Small bonuses add up.

Regarding DRG: PUG gives you second wind and internal release, two very potent skills.

If you look at casting jobs, any job that can cross class from THM gains instant cast--extremely powerful.
Cleric's Stance on scholar is potent in 4 man dungeons and great fun. Also useful even in Titan HM heart phase.

1. learn what Linear means... you sound like an idiot. The reason people said FFXIII was linear was because you LITERALLY ran in a straight line for 40+ hours. That is linear. This game has big open zones mobs everywhere in those zones lots of running in different directions with towns and other events like dungeons to break up the leveling not to mention all the side classes (which stop linearness) attributes that we can add, the leveling system none of these things are comparable to FFXIII or linear.

2. Shut up and stop playing... no one will miss you.
